The fleece component is designed to trap air, which keeps the body warm thanks to its natural insulating properties. The brushing of the knit fabric traps the air.

To stay warm and dry, we recommend using the 3-technical-layer rule:  Layer 1, a second skin that keeps you dry. Layer 2, an insulating layer that keeps heat in. Layer 3 or the protective layer, to protect against bad weather.
