TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Our new chamois pad

This “medium density” chamois pad will keep you more comfortable in the saddle.
The fabric is soft and breathable. The padded zone is soft, with a density of 100 kg/m3 and a thickness of 13 mm. The fabric is perforated to allow perspiration to escape. The pad keeps you comfortable in the saddle when riding for up to 2 hours.

Shape

To design the shape of the padding, tests were done on a pressure pad before moulding the pad on a mannequin and carrying out sizing and usage tests. These tests, conducted on real cyclists, involved measuring the pressure points on the saddle. The padded area covers the contact points that experience the greatest pressure. There is a dart at the front for a better fit.

Reinforced areas

The ischium bone and the perineum are covered and protected. The reinforced area between the legs is relatively narrow to prevent irritation from rubbing while pedalling. Channels have been embossed into the reinforcements to provide greater flexibility.

Care instructions

Machine wash at 30°C. Synthetic cycle. Turn the garment inside out. Do not add fabric softener. Hang to dry in a warm, well-ventilated area. Do not tumble dry. Do not dry clean. Do not add bleach. Do not place on a heater to dry.
