This one is most important to cycling I'm fully satisfied with this meter accurate reading I ride about my bike around 1010 km good one
I have been using the bike computer for the last couple of months. Overall, I am quite happy with the performance (average speed, distance covered, temperature). It also shows the time which is a nifty feature since I don’t wear a watch while cycling.
There are a few quirks though:
1. The maximum speed caps out at 31.3 kmph. So if you are riding anything faster than 31.3 kmph, it will still show 31.3 kmph as your top speed. Not sure if this how the computer is designed or if this is an issue with my particular unit. If former, the package should have a disclosure to the effect. Will
appreciate clarity.
2. The average rises slower at higher speeds, but drops much faster at proportionately lower speeds. So, you have to ride much faster & longer to raise your average speed, but the moment you slow down even for a few meters, the average tends to drop. Again, not a big issue for me, but a quirk to be aware of.
3. Switching off the device is somewhat tricky. The correct process is to keep the main switch at top pressed to reset the unit - all the data will be erased (except total cumulative distance travelled), and then pressing the same switch again for a few seconds and the unit will switch off.
Loved it
Easy to use!
Dear Hanizam, thank you for your time in rating our product. The 500 cyclometer has been developed by our engineers for cyclists looking for a simple wireless cyclometer to reliably measure their performance. Discreet and very easy to install (magnet-free sensor that mounts on the wheel hub): 8 basic functions with wireless transmission at up to 3 metres, allowing mounting on the rear wheel.
Satisfy our customer is our top priority. Your loyalty to Decathlon is highly appreciated. Please let us know if there anything else we can improve in the future. Thank you once again and we hope to serve you again soon!

East to put on the bike works well
And great battery saving
Did 115km RTI on road but it managed to clock in 110km.
So as the previous reviews regarding the sensor, I do not recommend this for bumpy road or gravel without front suspension. Other than that, it’s good for the price.
Had some difficulties fitting the sensors on my bicycle wheel, because the sensor was slightly wider than the hub width, so there's a very small gap between the sensor and the fork. The rubber housing doesn't look like it'll last, so I had cable ties to ensure it is secured. Overall, it looked like a primary school project. I'll still recommend it from price point, and functionality perspective.
I needed a cyclometer to keep track of mileage for periodic servicing. In comparison with the btwin 120 cyclometer, the sensor from the 500 could only log 50% of the distance covered.
The sensor needs a ‘baby skin’ smooth terrain to function, else the head unit will be blinking ‘0.0’ most of the time. This is an illogical requirement as this cannot see to everyday normal usage.
Would decathlon have any recommended sensor that I can pair with the head unit so that I can salvage the functionality?
