How do you choose your mountain bike helmet size?

To find out your helmet size, just measure your head circumference.
1. Get a tape measure
2. Place it around your head, about 1 cm above your eyebrows and ears. Don’t squeeze too tight. Or the helmet will be just as tight.
3. If the measurement falls between two sizes, opt for the larger size.

This mountain bike helmet is available in two sizes:
M: 54 - 58 cm
L: 58 - 62 cm
Please note: for safety reasons, helmets cannot be returned.

When should I replace my helmet?

We recommend replacing your helmet in these two cases:

1. After a fall
In the event of a fall, the material of your helmet can deteriorate or even break. Sometimes, you won’t even notice. That’s why we recommend replacing it if you have the slightest doubt.

2. After five years of use
The foam of your helmet degrades over time. It can deteriorate due to impact, the place it’s stored, the climate, and its use. We recommend replacing your helmet at least every five years

How do I adjust my helmet?

Two easy steps to adjust your helmet in 5 minutes:

1. Clip the straps together with the buckle: make sure you can slide two fingers between the strap and your chin.

2. Adjust the straps so that they form a “Y” on each side of your ears. Just below the ear.

The helmet should be in contact with your head, without tipping forward, backward, or sideways, even when you’re moving.

Compatible accessories

This helmet isn’t designed to be fitted with a headlamp or other light sources. Do you want to record your rides with a mounted camera? For your safety, we recommend attaching your sports camera directly on the handlebars or on your torso with a suitable harness.

Combining sports and safety

Helmets may seem restrictive at first. The Rockrider team is unanimous: helmets have an important role to play for mountain biking.
Moreover, we all wear a helmet. For us, helmets are essential. Don't forget to wear one! ;)

A little loose but does the work.. comfortable but keeps moving on my head as there is no size small soo I bought size medium which is a little big for my head

Size fits well on my head. However it is not that secured while cycling. It keeps dipping over my forehead, blocking my view, perhaps I have yet to readjust the strap properly to solve that.

It is the most basic cycling helmet by Decathlon. So, one shouldn't expect much. Very basic finish and protection.

The helmet comes with well-fitting foam pads and 15 ventilation holes let air move through easily. In the market there is no product that offer similar value for the price. Hope it is okay for you. Poor fit and little adjustment

Unfortunately, despite following guides and measuring as advised, the helmet is too big and the adjustment method for this helmet is ineffective. I will need to return when shops reopen and will buy an alternative (from Decathlon online) in the meantime.I hope that delivery charge is still refundable as unable to return until shops reopen. I should have read the translated reviews before purchase as this appears to be a common complaint.

Straps are little uncomfortable for long ride. Better to go with adjustable size helmets.
