If you're learning clipless it's a little difficult finding a way to step off with the clipless side in the right position. My foot slipped one time and left a decent cut in my calf. Otherwise a good compromise if you might want to just use flats.
Works great. I had the store fit them for me as I had issues getting the factory fitted ones off the bike
Affordable dual sided MTB SPD pedals but started squeaking within the first week of usage. The tension is too high initially, so you'll have to remove the rear reflector to loosen it. It's quite tough to do so, and requires quite a bit of effort. After a month of usage, the bearings squeak even more and after half a year of usage, the grease inside the bearings can no longer be felt as the pedals cannot turn smoothly anymore—to the point you can feel the bearings inside refusing to move until sufficient force is applied. It would be nice if there's a way for us to apply more grease to the bearings as it's sealed quite tightly and there's no servicing options for the pedals.
We apologize for your experience and inconveniences caused.
The SPD Pedals are made for cyclists who are more inclined to use pedals but also wish to clip in their shoes in. Otherwise, the pedals are made with sealed cartridge bearings and we won't be able to service it.
Another alternative could be the XC LIGHT SPD COMPATIBLE PEDALS as it comes without the pedal cage and able to adjust the tensioner with ease!
Thank you and we appreciate you submitting your feedback with us!
These are exactly as expected.
It would have been good if the pedal doesn't catch. It doesn't spin smoothly at all.
Easy to fix on the bike. You have to remove one of the pedal reflectors to adjust the tension, this is easily achieved and goes back on easily enough.
Best of both worlds with these. You can run flat shoes or cleated. The cleats come in the box. You need to push the reflectors off to turn the screw for the pedal, but its easy enough to pop out and back on.
For the price, worth it.
The pedal clip is stiff when first purchased but you only need remove the rear reflector of the pedal and there is a small screw which can be loosened easily with an Alan key.
Get Shimano ones instead by spending a little bit more
