How to measure tire wear

Inspect the tread to measure wear so you know when to replace your tires. The tread comes into direct contact with the ground and is what determines your tire's performance.

A tire needs to be replaced when the centre knobs are worn down to the same height as the side knobs.

How to remove a tire

To remove your tire, deflate the inner tube until no more air comes out.
Once deflated, use a tire lever to remove the tire from the rim.

How to fit a tire

Make sure the arrow on the sidewall is pointing in the direction of travel.
To put your tire back on, place the bead (the rigid part that determines the shape of your tire) on the rim.
Next, inflate the inner tube approximately 30% before fitting it to the rim (inflating it beforehand reduces the risk of pinching the inner tube).

Then fit the second bead to the rim, starting at the side opposite the valve.

How to inflate your tire correctly

Inflate your tire carefully. The recommended pressure is indicated on the side of your tire and on the product sheet (available online).
Before each outing, make sure your tires are inflated to the correct pressure for your ride.

Tip from the pros

Make sure you inflate your tire to the right pressure for the terrain and weather conditions you will be riding in.
Lower the tire pressure to increase the tire's grip in rainy weather.
You can increase the pressure when riding in dry weather.
