Use temperature

All our sleeping bags display the comfort temperatures tested by an independent laboratory, according to European standard ISO 23537-1. The comfort temperature is the lower limit at which the user is in general thermal equilibrium, feeling neither too cold nor too hot (for an average person in normal conditions of use). Use this rating to choose the sleeping bag that’s right for you.

The comfort temperature is the lower limit at which the user is in general thermal equilibrium, neither too cold nor too hot (for an average person in normal conditions of use).

What you need to know about temperatures

A sleeping bag does not produce heat but rather retains the heat produced by the body. If you’re tired and chilled when you slip into a cold, damp sleeping bag, it’s very likely that you’ll feel cold no matter how good your sleeping bag is! These temperature ratings therefore depend on the user’s resistance to cold, the equipment used, their clothing, and the weather conditions.

Tips before getting into your bag

Dress simply (just one layer of clothing is enough). Warm up your extremities: hats, gloves, socks, hand and feet warmers, friction, etc. A well-sealed container of hot water can be used as a hot water bottle. Contract your muscles (70% of the energy consumed is converted into heat), but without making any movements that would create a draft.
You can use a sleeping bag liner so you won’t have to wash your sleeping bag as often.

Eco-design

Using a dope-dyed two-tone liner fabric and dope-dyed yarn reduces the environmental impact of this product. The yarn is dope-dyed during the manufacturing process, avoiding the use of dye baths. Only every other thread woven is dyed using mass pigmentation. Below are the results compared to a standard liner fabric:

I am size 4 and still find it too tight for space. Interior fabric is too rough. Tried it with tee shirt and sweat pants once home and had to return to store. Used something else for my trip. But great for the price, maybe you can use it as a packable blanket…
