TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Pitching/striking

Rapid set-up. Free-standing tent (you place it where you want once erected and, if there’s no wind, you don’t have to use any pegs = direct use!). Easy folding thanks to the Easy guidance system.

Ventilation

1 upper rear vent and 2 spaces between the flysheet and the ground on each side in the middle of the bedroom to allow air renewal and to limit the natural occurrence of condensation as much as possible.

Sun protection

The flysheet fabric filters UV radiation with a UPF of 30. Please note: a significant amount of UV rays can enter through a single open door: protect your skin.

Waterproofing

All Quechua tents are tested in the laboratory (whole tent under 200 L/m²/h for 4 hours), as well as in field tests.
(2000 mm PU-coated polyester flysheet, 120 g/m² polyethylene groundsheet, all seams sealed with heat-sealed tape). The presence of a breathable polyester bedroom under the flysheet helps avoid contact with drops of condensation that can be deposited on the inside of the flysheet.

Wind resistance

We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a rotating table to expose each side of the tent to the wind. A properly-assembled tent with all the guy ropes deployed around the tent must remain habitable with a wind speed measured at 50 km/h near the ground (Force 6).

A score for comparing products’ environmental impact

The products’ environmental impacts are calculated over its entire life cycle using various indicators. An overall score from A to E is given to help you easily identify the most eco-friendly products by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, pants, backpacks, etc.).

Warranty

All tents sold by Decathlon are guaranteed for 2 years in normal use (your loyalty card or receipt acts as proof of purchase).
