TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Pitching/folding

Classic dome structure: Fit the poles on the inner tent, then attach the flysheet over it. Reverse the process to unpitch.In case of wind, attach the guy ropes that are provided in the tent bag.

Mattress compatibility

We recommend using the tent with the self-inflating or trekking mattress measuring a maximum of 65 cm.

We do not recommend the use of inflating mattresses over 6 cm in height due to the reduction in living space and resistance to condensation.

Ventilation

1 high air vent at the back. Correctly position the lateral tent pegs to maintain a space between the flysheet and the ground all around the tent. The air circulation between the bedroom and the flysheet will limit the natural phenomenon of condensation.

Waterproofing

All Quechua tents are tested in the lab (whole tent under 200 L/sqm/h for 4 hours) and in the field. (2000 mm PU-coated polyester fly sheet, 120g/sqm polyethylene groundsheet, all seams sealed using thermobonded tape). A breathable polyester bedroom under the fly means you aren't in contact with the condensation that forms naturally on the inside of the fly.

Wind resistance

We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable to expose each side of the tent to the wind. A properly pitched tent with all guy lines fitted around the tent must remain habitable in wind speeds up to 40 km/h near the ground (Force 5).

Environmental labelling: why is my product grey?

Textile dyeing requires a lot of water but also produces waste water from the dye baths. To reduce environment impact, we use dope dying on one yarn out of two (Bi-ton). So that's why your product is grey.
