TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Frame

We are offering a city bike with a low standover height to make your rides simpler and more practical. The hybrid City bike geometry lets you ride with a straight back. It also has a lifetime warranty!
And the sizing? The bike has 28-inch wheels and is suitable for cyclists measuring 1.55 m (5'1") to 1.75 m (5'9").

Drivetrain

Your Elops 120 bike has 6 speeds on an external derailleur for improved versatility on reasonable inclines. Hills and accelerating after a red light become child's play.

Brakes

Front and rear aluminum calliper V-brakes provide efficient braking and a safe ride.

Handlebars/stem/steering

Your bike has geometrically ergonomic handlebars and a steel damper stem so that you can keep your back straight while riding!

Seat / Seat post

The single-walled wheels' rims are made from aluminum. Tires require consistent pressure (between 50 and 65 psi) to prevent punctures and rim deformation. We chose a hub fastened with nuts to lower the risk of theft.

Tires

"We chose 28-inch tires so that you can comfortably ride in town: a smooth rolling bike that can easily drive over small obstacles along the way. Not even cobblestones, sewer drains, potholes, or tramway rails can make you lose your balance! Inner tubes are equipped with car valves, you can inflate your tires at a service station. To avoid flat tires, we recommend keeping your tires at a constant pressure between 51 and 65 psi (depending on your weight)

Accessories/equipment

Your bike is equipped with a fenders, a pannier rack that can hold up to 27 kg (the new standard for mounting a baby carrier), front and rear LED lights powered by bottle dynamo, and a chain housing to avoid getting grease on your pants!

Compatibility

"Your bike also has spots for attaching frame and foldable locks so that you have peace of mind.
This bike is also compatible with the entire B'Twin mobility bag range.

I was looking for a city bike for daily commute and this bike does fulfill my key requirements: large wheel, easy to control, adjustable seat (although still need hexagon screws).

However I suspect there’re flaws in design: 1) The gear shifter is not well tuned. Speed 2-4 are usually unfit hence create noise 2) the lighting system touches the back tire too tight, generate too much friction; 3) Decathlon installed the two-legged middle stand per our choice, however it gets loose everytime and tilt in an inaccurate angle.
Great bike but cheap tyres for price & city use

No doubt it’s great Dutch style bike with sturdy frame, nice seat with other accessories coming with it by default for comfortable city ride.

3 stars because of few reasons -

1. Cheap/poor quality tyres for city use. I’ve got flat tyre 3 times within 4 weeks for just city use. Mostly rode on-road and dedicated cycle lanes (By way It’s the same route I used for few years with other bikes without any trouble).

Took it to nearby Decathlon and technician recommended some other tyre and liquid filled tubes which helped a bit for rear wheel. Fingers crossed for front wheel.

For the money I’ve spent for all these puncture repairs within a month; I could have bought another second hand bike. Recommendation for Decathlon - fit a better quality tyre for this £250 GBP bike.

2. Front brakes makes noise most of the time and always in wet weather and rear brakes touch rim often even when brakes not applied by rider. Re-aligned by a non-decathlon technician but issue still persists.

3. Rear wheel not fully fitted to the frame and when comfortably fitted rear wheel doesn’t align properly.

Taking to the store again for checkup and realignment and will update this review after that. May be this bike is faulty or not fitted well.

I’ll probably return it if it’s going to cost more money.

After 1 Month And 200km, I Am Ready To Do A Honest Review. Firstly This Is A Very Rare Bike In Sg Especially This Color And Model. It's Also Made In Portugal , A Biking Nation. With 28 Inch Tire , It Rides Very Quiet And Smooth. Despite Having 6 Gears, I Rarely Have To Use Them Even On Short Sloping Paths. Also Quite Comfortable For My 36km Ride From Jurong East To Keppel Via Pcn And Rail Corridor. Of Course At Moderate Speed. The Only Setback I Experienced So Far Is The Front Brakes. It Gets A Bit Noisy When You Ride During Wet Weather, even On Light Rain. Thankfully I Can Bring It Back For Repairs Soon And I Hope They Can Fix It. Overall I Am Happy With My Purchase So Far.

Love this bike. Great ride and looks great
Brake alignment issues
Jed (Singapore)
The bike’s v brakes are good in a way that they are easy to maintain and have a simple setup, however now that I have used my bike for 2 years, both the front and rear brakes become rather inconsistent. I tried adjusting the side return spring tension screws and it does help for a short while but once I start riding, the brakes start rubbing on one side, sometimes the left side and sometimes the right side without my intervention. I believe the brake tension screws have already been centred but I’m unsure if it is due to dirt in the system or that v brakes are just not the best brakes overall. I know that disc brakes, cable operated or the hydraulic type are sturdier and misalign less although they are more complex to maintain- a suggestion for future city bike models that can be considered

Long wait over. Wanted one since family returned to Phils. This bike is very popular and practical in Europe. So happy to have one of my own.
I just wish there were more colour choices. But no big deal.
