Very good pants, hardshell like material, warm while not so heavy. Removable gaiters.
The only thing I didn't like is they don't have length options in it, I needed a way shorter size. It cannot be trimmed either due to the gaiters and bottom zips.
Not worth as money, fabric and fitting is good
Thank you for your valuable review. We are sorry that you were not satisfied with the product.
Simond Alpinism pant is designed for mountaineering at high altitudes where normally you are wearing a jacket and are equipped with a harness which restricts the functionality of pockets in the pants and the climber mostly depends on the jacket pockets.

I have had these trousers for a wee while now and they have surpassed my expectations. Warm, wind resistant, water repellent, tough, breathable.....perfect for colder conditions, everything it says on the tin. I would try them on before buying to get the right size.
Great product, highly water repellent, wind resistance, material is strong, very comfortable and ventilation zips make it very practical.
Value for money. Kept me warm in -10 deg.
Have used this pant at -10 to -2 degree centigrade exclusively for snowboarding. They were super comfortable can accommodate snowboarding boots. Not one instance snow peeked inside nor the buttons or zipper got loose. Have to wear inner layer and these are good to go.
Exceeded expectations. These do a good to reasonable job of keeping snow out during snowshoeing in the Cascades, no gaiters necessary. Breathability is great. Durability seems good, so far. I would honestly expect to pay ~50% more for similar quality elsewhere. Look no further.
