Return and Refund policy

Your Sport Journey is our priority. Our objective is to deliver quality products that help you embark on that Journey. However if you have second thoughts about your purchase or our products don’t live up to your expectations, we will take them back. All our products come with a 60 days returns policy for our members and 30 days for non members.

In-store returns

In- store returns are temporarily unavailable. Once our stores reopen, our members will have 60 days (and non member 30 days) to return purchases made in store before 18th March, 2020. This also applies to online orders picked up in a store.

Online returns (for online orders made on www.decathlon.ca)

While our stores are temporarily closed, online purchases can only be returned by mail.

Things to keep in mind before requesting a return:

  • The item must be in its original, unused, unaltered and unwashed condition.
  • The item must be returned with the original tags and packaging material.
  • In the case of a manufacturing defect, we would take the product back and no questions would be asked.
  • Decathlon does not accept returns on perishable products (e.g. food, beverages), products with hygiene concerns (e.g. undergarments, sports bras) and personal safety equipment (e.g. helmets for horseback riding, cycling, skiing, rollerblading, climbing, etc.; climbing harnesses and ropes; buoyancy vests and other safety gear).
  • Decathlon does not accept returns of products that are customized for the client at our stores.
  • All shipping fees which may have been charged during the original purchase are non-refundable
Please note: Decathlon reserves the right to refuse the return request if the product does not respect the returns policy or fail the quality inspection.

How can I initiate return?

If you would like to return the product at any of our Decathlon stores you can just walk into our store and request for customer service team. They would be happy to assist you.

If you would like to return the product using post (please note only Home delivered orders are eligible) please contact the client help desk at onlineservice@decathlon.ca and they will be happy to guide you through the return process.

I bought a product online using www.decathlon.ca and I want to return it to one of the stores. Can I do it?

Yes, this is the fastest way to get the refund of your online purchases as it shortens the time to quality inspect your returns and thus the time required to initiate a refund to your original mode of payment.

Do I pay for return of the online orders?

You can return your online purchases for free at any of our Decathlon store. It allows for faster processing of refunds.

However for a return to our Distribution centre, a flat return shipping fee of 8 CAD $ (plus taxes) will be deducted from the eligible refund amount for all orders. If the product for return is an oversized article (any one dimension more than 100 cm/ 1 metre/ 39.37 inches or the weight of the parcel is more than 30kg/66lbs) an additional returns fee of 10$ (plus taxes) will be deducted from the eligible refund amount before processing the refund to the original payment method.

Please note If your order is faulty or if you received the wrong items, we will pay for the cost of return. However, you may be asked to provide pictures showing the damage.

Can I do an exchange for products I bought online?

No, you can only return the products. No exchange is possible at the moment. We would be bringing this feature at your service soon.

Can I return order by using a personal courier company ?

Yes. Please get in touch with onlineservice@decathlon.ca before initiating the returns and they will guide you with the process of return. The return products must comply with Decathlon’s return policy. Once we receive the parcel, the eligible refund amount will be credited back to your original mode of payment post quality inspection of the products.

Please note Decathlon do not reimburse for the cost of the shipping. Returns that do not respect our policy may be sent back to the original shipping address at our discretion. Decathlon do not assume the liabilities for the damage to the products during the transit.

Would Decathlon issue a credit or gift card for the return of online purchases?

Decathlon makes refund of the accepted products minus the returns processing fees to the original mode of payment.

When can I expect the refund amount to be credited?

Depending on the your financial institution the processing of the refund can take up to 7- 10 business days. Be rest assured that the refund is initiated within 1 business day after the return request is successfully processed at Decathlon.

I bought Decathlon product in country other than Canada, Can I return the product here?

No. We only accept returns for the articles that are bought in Canada using www.decathlon.ca or in one of our physical stores.
