The filling of this padded jacket is made from 70% recycled polyester fibres.
For the lining, we use a bi-ton dyeing process, where only every other thread is dyed. This dyed thread is also the result of dope dyeing, which incorporates the colour pigments during the initial thread manufacture to avoid the use of dyeing baths and to reduce our water consumption.
This process can reduce CO2 emissions by 40% compared to traditional dyeing methods.

On the black, khaki, and blue jackets, a clean dyeing process called dope dyeing was used on the outer fabric (the thread is dyed before the yarn is woven) to reduce CO2 emissions by 36%.

How warm is this padded jacket?
Worn as a third layer, this padded jacket has been certified for an active comfort temperature of -5°C during a standardized test in a thermal chamber.
The model was wearing a synthetic, long-sleeved T-shirt and a light fleece underneath. It works with a simulated 5 km/h wind.
We have also tested this jacket in static mode; the comfort temperature is +5°C in this case.

We use 100% polyester filling (70% recycled) weighing 125 g/m² in the body and 100 g/m² in the sleeves and hood.
The filling is made from silicone-coated spiral fibres that make it highly compressible and durable.
Despite its thinness, the trapped air makes the filling highly insulating and lightweight.
It retains its warmth even when wet.

This polyamide fabric uses 20 denier thread and can withstand 20,000 abrasion cycles.

Exterior: 100% polyamide fabric 39 g/m², 20 denier.
Lining: 100% polyamide fabric 35 g/m², mix of 15 to 20 denier threads.
The material’s water repellency (not to be confused with waterproofing)
A fabric’s water repellency is its ability to make water run off its surface without being absorbed.
This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight and warm.
The fabric is made water-repellent by treating its outer surface; however, this property may deteriorate with use.
We recommend that you restore it after each wash.
PFC-free water-repellency treatment
The water-repellency treatment is PFC-free.
PFCs are used to make fabric water-repellent; however, they are toxic to humans and the environment. Substituting PFCs with other technologies gives the same level of performance and reduces the environmental impact.
Restoring water repellency
Once you have cleaned your padded jacket, we recommend using a water-repellent reactivator spray to preserve the hydrophobic properties of the outer fabric
Repairs
Snags are common when hiking in padded jackets! Good news! Tears can be repaired to prevent them from getting worse and to stop feathers from escaping.
