Good value, solid frame, with some expected issues

Nice bike. I haven't ridden it yet, but I checked over the bike in good detail. It's heavier than I expected and there's not an obvious way to hold it, so I find it a bit awkward to carry. The frame feels solid with seemingly strong welds and I don't expect to have any issu

es there. The fenders are robust enough for my needs, and I really appreciate them on a bike at this price point. I immediately replaced the stock tires with Schwalbe Marathon Plus, which should be far more puncture-proof. While doing so, I discovered that almost every bolt on the bike was *way* over-torqued including the rear hub which made the rear wheel difficult to turn by hand. The wheels are also not very true, but that's not a huge issue, even if they don't stay true due to the wheel quality - after all, this is a $225 bike on sale so I really can't complain. My two biggest issues are that the saddle mount is crooked on the seatpost, meaning the saddle is permanently crooked since the seatpost is keyed to a fixed angle. Also, there is already some rust in certain areas, like the right brake lever linkage (concerning) and the front reflector screw (not concerning), but no other places from what I could tell. All in all, you're getting a bike for less than $500, even after tax, shipping, and replacement tires. I can't complain much about the build except the rust on the right brake lever. Otherwise, it's a solid value, and I would definitely buy again.

Good Value at Sale Price
Hung

I purchased 2 of the 20" folding bikes on sale at 1/2 its normal price. One arrived in good shape, but the other had the back cable housing crushed in transport because the handlebar faced the side of the box and didn't have padding protecting it. I had to round out the housin

g with pliers to allow the cable to move. The folded bike required no assembly, although it still required tweaking after unfolding. The folding and unfolding was easy and ingenious. The main preparation to make the bike rideable was to change the rotation of the handle bar forward to give better arm extension and angle the brake levers to match the angle of my hands at rest. The bike came with the levers almost straight down. This makes the bike more compact when folded but sacrifices hand comfort. It would have been nice to have a quick release lever to be able to rotate the handlebar when folded for transport or storage. The other tweaking done to one wheel which needed truing to make braking more effective. A ride of 4 miles was comfortable and felt close to a standard bike. The adjustable seat extended enough for me to sit almost in the same position as my hybrid bike if only slightly tighter. The steering was more responsive with the smaller wheels. Pedaling felt natural thanks to the standard sized drivetrain. The back wheel had a squeak which I found out was caused by a rubber washer protecting the rear hub. I was able to get rid of it by adding some grease between the hub and the washer. Overall the bike was good for the price and rideable with a bit of tweaking.
