TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Why thermoform a liner in ski boots?

Some liners use what are called thermoforming foams. This means that the liner foam heats up to take the shape of your feet and the shoe shell. This increases the compatibility between the liner and the shell and gives your feet more space for better comfort. I recommend that you ski with your shoes at least 2 days before deciding if you need to thermoform them, sometimes the foot just needs to get used to skiing again

How to thermoform your liners

1- Preheat the oven to 80°C in convection mode. 2- Remove the liners from the shells. 3- Remove the insoles from your liners. 4- Place the liners in the oven for 8 minutes only. 5- Remove the liners from the oven. 6- Place the soles inside the liners. 7- Place the liners back in the boots. 8- Put your boots on and lock each buckle on the middle hook. 9- Wait for 8 minutes at room temperature before removing them. You are ready to ski!

Sizing

Slim foot (last 100 mm), light liner: Light and comfortable liner without thermoforming. Preformed foam on the malleolus. Liners are designed to optimize ski sensations and optimize the weight and freedom of movement when descending. In the event of discomfort after several days of skiing, you can thermoform your liner to make more space and remove uncomfortable areas.

What is flex?

To provide an indication of rigidity, brands assign a flex rating to every boot. This number determines the rigidity of the assembly: the higher the value the straighter the casing. A flex of 70 is considered best for skiers of intermediate to experienced level. A flex level of 70 to 90 is intended for experienced skiers. Beyond that, the products are intended for advanced skiers. The strong gauges can, however, increase by a level.

How do you try on ski boots?

Once your foot is in the boot, fasten the buckles up to the midpoint. Can you go further? This means the volume of the boot isn't right for you. Once you've fastened your boots, you need to flex 3 times while pushing your calves forward (put your hands on your knees), which will push your heel back into the boot. Stand up: your foot should touch the end of the shell. When you flex, your foot should move backwards so you can no longer feel the end.

How to get your ski boots on/off easily

Pull the tongue towards the front and outside the feet: This allows you to open the shell wide and make fitting easy.

Suitable for freestyle

When you fit the Alpine standard soles (sold with the boots), these boots can also be used for Freestyle skiing.

How to switch from back country soles to Alpine soles?

Duration: 15 minutes 1/ Unscrew the heel pad insert's screw. 2/ Unscrew the 3 screws on the heel pad and remove it by pulling it back. Warning, do not lose the little black spacer. 3/ Remember to screw the heel pad insert screw back in to not lose it. 4/ Fit the Alpine heel pad and screw it on. 5/ Unscrew the 4 screws on the front toe piece. 6/ Remove the toe piece by pushing it forwards. Warning, do not lose the little black spacer. 7/ Fit the Alpine toe piece and screw it on.

BON PRIX BONNES PERFS POINT DOULOUREUX
Used for 3 to 6 months
Quelle solution propose DECATHLON?
Response of the brand

Bonjour,

Cordialement,
