WATER-REPELLENT FEATURE OF THE COMPONENT
All the Wedze gloves have a water-repellent treatment that prevents the fabric from absorbing water and makes water run off its surface. As a result, the fabric does not become soaked with water. It stays light and warm. The water-repellent property is obtained by applying a treatment to the outer surface of the fabric. To remain effective, this treatment must be renewed every 2 to 3 washes with specific products, which are available in our stores.
These ski mittens have a water-resistant membrane consisting of a very thin polymer film, placed between the lining and the part of the glove in contact with the outside. This membrane is a barrier to water and makes the product waterproof. In addition, the external materials of the product have a water-repellent treatment that prevents them from absorbing water. Only a rubber-type glove is waterproof. There is a limit to the waterproofing of a glove with a membrane in extremely wet conditions.
All Wedze gloves and mittens are windproof. Did you know that the wind makes you feel colder? With an outdoor temperature of 0°C and a 20 km/h wind, the perceived temperature will be -10°C . Windproof components can reduce the chill effect caused by the true wind and the forward motion of your sporting activity.
Simply pull the wrist strap with the opposite hand for speedy and effective adjustment.
LOSS PREVENTION SYSTEM
There is an elastic drawstring that goes around the wrist so that you can remove the gloves on ski lifts without losing them.
Good gloves but check the size
Graeme (United Kingdom) Used for 8 to 12 months
These are good entry level gloves, but the size 4 for a 4 year old boy were too small (he is average sized). It caused a lot of fuss at the ski school and he couldn't get them on and off himself so I would advise to go a size bigger if you are in doubt. My 6 year old was just about able to use the 6 year size and would have benefitted from the larger size, but we bought them online so couldn't benefit from trying them in the shop.
