TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Water repellency of the component

Wedze gloves and mittens are treated for water-repellency to ensure that water is not absorbed, but rolls off the surface. This means the fabric does not become saturated with water. It remains light and warm. A treatment applied to the outer surface makes the fabric water-repellent. To remain effective, this treatment must be renewed every 2 to 3 washes with specific products that are available in our stores.

Waterproof membrane

These ski gloves have a water-resistant membrane: a very thin polymer film, placed between the lining and the exterior part of the glove. This membrane acts as a barrier to make the product waterproof. The product’s outer materials also benefit from a water-repellent treatment that reduces water absorption. Only a rubber-type glove is waterproof. Under extremely humid conditions, a glove with a membrane will have limited waterproofness.

Windproofing

All Wedze gloves and mittens are windproof. Did you know that the wind makes you feel colder? At an outside temperature of 0°C and a wind speed of 20 km/h, the temperature will feel like -10°C. Windproof fabrics limit wind chill and cold caused by the speed of the sport.

Airtightness

A special cuff has been added inside the 500 gloves. Soft and comfortable, the cuff prevents air or snow from entering the glove if there is wind or if you fall. Additional warmth.

Easy on

Simply pull the wrist-strap with the opposite hand.

Anti-loss system

An elastic drawstring that goes around the wrist can be used to remove the gloves on ski lifts without losing them.

What is the dexterity of a glove/mitten?

It's the ability of the glove to handle objects. Our gloves were field-tested for dexterity and rated on a scale of 1 to 5. A dexterity rating of 5 means that it is as easy to handle objects as with a bare hand.
To assess the level of dexterity of our gloves, we tested the ability to put on and take off ski goggles, adjust the hooks on ski boots, and fasten or unfasten a jacket.

Perpormed very well, but I must point out that the base of the gloves is not waterproof. Only the top side is waterproof.

It is comfortable but it doesn't serve the purpose. I have used it on the bike and it instantly turns your warm hands cold and fingers get chilled in a min or two. If you think that if "ski" gloves will work in ice then will surely save you on the bike then no it doesn't serve the purpose. Rest you can imagine how much it will work in ice.

Just to give you some information about the gloves, these gloves are for skiing and the speed of the wind will be very less compared to while riding a bike and while wearing gloves in colder conditions it's preferable to wear an inner liner so that the warmth is contained.

You can visit any of the nearest stores to exchange or return the product.
