Adjustment dial

The adjustment dial is key for keeping your helmet secure. The dial, easily-accessible even with gloves on, allows for easy and precise adjustments at any time. It also provides comfort and maximum safety. Turn the dial to the right to tighten and to the left to loosen.

In-mold construction

This type of structure, known as In-Mold, features a polycarbonate outer shell that is moulded directly to the EPS liner. The inner EPS liner absorbs shocks in the event of a collision. The whole thing is extremely lightweight. We recommend changing your ski helmet at least every five years or if it has sustained a significant impact.

EN 1077 standard

Standard EN 1077:2007 is a European standard that applies to helmets used for cranial protection during downhill skiing and snowboarding. This standard tests the ability of helmets to absorb shocks and resist penetration. There are two categories:
- Class A: protects the top and back of the head as well as the ears and the side of the head.
- Class B: Protects the top and back of the head but does not cover the ears.

What size?

* Measure the circumference of your head in centimetres (around the middle of the forehead and just above the ears).
Then choose the size that corresponds to this measurement.
Example: if the circumference of your head is 56 cm, you should try a helmet in size 55–59 cm.

Fitting

Take plenty of time to try it on properly. You shouldn't feel any discomfort. If you do, try another model. Always try your helmet with your mask, because not all helmets go with all masks. A helmet is compatible with ski mask when there is no air space between the top of the mask and the helmet.

Helmet adjustment

When skiing, your helmet should be properly fitted and adjusted:
* It is essential to choose the right size.
* The head circumference must be adjusted using the adjustment dial.
* The chinstrap must be properly adjusted.
It's a bit like a car’s seat belt: if it’s too loose, it will not perform its function and you will be less protected.

Safety

Avoid wearing a thick hat under your helmet that moves the helmet away from your head because you won't be as well protected.
Instead, wear a very thin beanie or balaclava that does not affect your safety. A helmet has good insulating properties. There is often no point in adding anything else. Also, avoid attaching a camera to your helmet because it can affect safety. The standard does not take into account any elements added to the helmet.

This is a great Helmet, for the price you would pay for a used Helmet. I only ski a few times a year, so I didn't want buy a top of the line Helmet. But this one is comfortable and decent quality. The picture kind of makes it look cheap, but in person it is pretty nice.

Didn't notice it cannot be returned when ordered. Size runs small and it squeezes my head really hurt from left and right sides when I tried it on. Think twice before ordering because it cannot return. If order, size up! Otherwise, it is a lightweight nice helmet. But won't risk ordering another one.
