Anti-UV

What does the anti-UV material do?
It protects your eyes from UV rays.
UV radiation is present in winter and summer, in sunny and cloudy weather, and can be harmful to your eyes and their contours.
The lenses of our sunglasses are made from polycarbonate mixed with an "anti-UV" material to protect you from the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays.

Glare

Classification of tinted glasses according to ISO 12312-1 standard:
- Category 1: slightly tinted lens for weak sunlight.
- Category 2: medium tinted lens for average sunlight.
- Category 3: dark lens to for strong sunlight (sea and mountains). Between 82% and 92% visible light absorbed
- Category 4: very dark lens, for exceptional sunlight (high mountains). Between 92% and 97% visible light absorbed

Good to know

Our lenses are made from polycarbonate, a very durable shock-resistant material that is sensitive to scratches.
The UV protection of these lenses does not decrease, even when scratched—the mirror effect is purely aesthetic.
It’s the same for the colour of our solar lenses.
Whatever colour you choose, the protection is the same.

Frames made from bio-sourced polymer

We used Rilsan Clear G850 Rnew on the frame of these sunglasses, a polymer made from castor oil.
This biosourced material is a real design advantage and enables us to produce light and flexible frames.

Glasses with a lower environmental impact

To limit the environmental impact of our sunglasses, we also changed the material.
On the frames of these sunglasses, we limit the use of varnish and paint, integrating them instead in the product's mould. We are working to ensure that, eventually, these sunglasses will be 100% eco-designed.
