Anti-UV

What use is anti-UV material?
It protects your eyes from UV rays.
UV radiation is present in winter and summer, in sunny and cloudy weather, and can be harmful to your eyes and their contour.
Our sunglasses' lenses are made from polycarbonate mixed with an "anti-UV" material to protect you from the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays.

Glare

Tinted lens classification based on ISO 12312-1 standard:
- Category 1: slightly tinted lens for reduced brightness.
- Category 2: medium tinted lens for medium brightness.
- Category 3: dark lens for heavy brightness (sea and mountains).Between 82% and 92% of visible light absorbed
- Category 4: very dark lens for exceptional solar luminosity (high altitude). Between 92% and 97% of visible light absorbed

Good to know

Our lenses are made from polycarbonate, a shock-resistant material however the big disadvantage is that it is prone to scratches.
The mirror effect is purely cosmetic, so the UV protection is not affected when the lenses are scratched.
It’s the same for the colour of our solar lenses.
Whatever colour you choose, the protection is the same.

Frames made from bio-sourced polymer

We use Rilsan Clear G850 Rnew, a polymer derivative from castor oil, for the frame of these sunglasses.
This bio-sourced material is a real asset in our developments so we can make a lightweight and flexible frame.

1.5 mm lenses reduce our material consumption

The reduction in our environmental impact also supports the reduction in our material consumption.
Reducing the thickness of our lenses allows us to use less material and to make our products lighter while retaining their features.

Frames with a reduced environmental impact

We choose our materials with their environmental impact in mind.
We reduce the use of varnish and paint on these sunglasses frames, everything is directly integrated in the product mould. Our goal is to make these sunglasses 100% eco-designed one day.
