How to choose a hiking sock material

You need to manage damp as best you can when walking: you will sweat—it's inevitable.
If your shoes are breathable, they'll wick away moisture caused by sweat: choose light and breathable socks
If your shoes are waterproof to protect yourself from the rain, opt for different socks: choose socks that will absorb your perspiration and then wick it away from your foot.

The shoe/sock combination plays an important role.

Many things cause blisters when hiking: rubbing, a fold in your sock, moisture, a size too small or too big ... It is therefore important to choose the right size and a sock material adapted to your hiking boots.

Organically grown cotton

The organically grown cotton was cultivated without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides or GMOs, thereby reducing the risk of soil and groundwater pollution.
This mode of production manages the cotton crops better by using superior environmental practices.

Our environmental approach

To contribute to preserving our natural playground, Quechua is committed to reducing the environmental impact of its products. For these socks, the use of organic cotton reduces the environmental impact by at least 10%.
However, this is still not enough, which is why we are working to make these socks 100% eco-designed one day.
