TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Fleece component: Insulation provided by air

The fleece component is designed to trap air in the space formed by its texture; this air acts as a natural insulator, keeping the body warm. The brushing of the knit fabric traps the air.
This component has been tested in the laboratory for a comfort temperature ranging from 7 to 10°C without an additional jacket.

Two-year durability warranty

Our hiking fleeces’ ageing is tested to guarantee their durability. Guaranteed:
- resistance to wear from backpacks and moving arms to delay the appearance of piling, specific to this material
- the solidity of seams
- the resistance of the fleece material after 3 washes (size stability)
- retains colour after washing, UV exposure, or perspiration.

Our responsibility for eco-design

At Decathlon, we are aware that our production and distribution activities have a big impact on the environment. The use of recycled polyester in the making of this fleece means we can avoid using new petroleum-based resources. We transform waste into resources that can be used again. We are working in parallel on other levers to further reduce our impact.

Initially I considered this as relatively costlier fleece than available options and bought it with little hesitation. But this fleece has been outstanding and still going strong with the 7 months of rough and vigorous use. Nicely designed pockets, under arm ventilation and fine band near wrist for wind protection. Fleece grid is very well warm and breathable.
