Cut
Jehanne, our fashion designer, and Paloma, our model maker, have given this fleece jacket a sporty, feminine style.
Paloma tells us: "I wanted to enhance the feminine curves with a relatively slim yet comfortable fit, and a cut that emphasizes the waist."
To offer protection from the cold, particularly at the lower back, it has a longline cut. A thumb loop also protects your hands.
Choose your usual size.
Our commitment to eco-design
At Decathlon, we know that our production and distribution activities have a big environmental impact. That's why we must take action. Not everything is perfect but, by using recycled polyester to make the microgrid material, no new oil-based resources are used. The waste is recycled into resources that can be reused. We are also working on other measures to further reduce our carbon footprint.
Warmth in the right place
We have combined two technical materials:
- a recycled "microgrid" material at the chest, back, collar, and thumb-hole that is as effective against the cold as a conventional fleece but much more breathable;
- a smooth spandex blend for both total freedom of movement and optimal breathability for the arms
How is the warmth measured?
Two types of tests measure the warmth of our fleeces:
- a test of the fabric
- a test using a thermal mannequin in a thermal chamber We reproduce the temperature, wind (5 km/h), and humidity conditions encountered in the mountains when you walk 5 km/h
These tests help us to validate our design choices then everything is field-tested.
This fleece has a temperature rating of 10 to 13°C (without a jacket on top).
How is breathability measured?
The breathability of a material is its capacity to wick away the moisture generated by perspiration. During intense effort, it's essential to wear very breathable clothing so you don't stay wet.
Breathability is measured by the RET, the resistance of a fabric to evacuation of moisture. The lower this number, the more breathable the fabric:
RET ≤3: extremely breathable fabric
RET ≤6: very breathable fabric
RET ≤12: breathable fabric
etc.
How is sustainability tested?
The ageing of our hiking fleeces is tested to guarantee durability. We guarantee:
- resistance to abrasion and arm movements to prevent pilling
- seam strength
- durability after washing
- colour fastness after washing and exposure to UV light and perspiration
