What elements make my pants warm?

The insulating recycled padding (60 g/m²) keeps you warm. This synthetic polyester-based padding traps air to insulate you from the cold.

For more information on sustainable development: Recycled polyester

By using recycled products to produce our polyester, we reduce the use of fossil fuel resources while preserving the material's breathability.

What is the coating?

The coating is a waterproofing material spread over the inner surface of a fabric. It prevents water from seeping into the garment but allows sweat to escape. So you stay dry and more comfortable during outdoor activities.

How is the waterproof rating of my pants measured?

A fabric’s resistance to water pressure is expressed in terms of the height in mm of a water column that it can support. The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A fabric with a waterproof rating of 3,000 mm is resistant to the pressure exerted by an 3,000 mm column of water, (roughly equivalent to a 2-hour downpour).

How can I be sure my pants will give me proper protection in bad weather?

These pants’ advanced materials and composition prevent water seepage and reduce wind chill to help you cope with the weather conditions (rain, snow, wind, etc.). Their waterproof rating was tested under a special shower that replicates real-world conditions. We field-tested their waterproofing by skiing in various weather conditions for several days.

Why are my pants water repellent?

Water repellency is a material’s ability to shed water without absorbing it. The water-repellent features of these pants improve their resistance to bad weather. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating its outer surface. However, this property may deteriorate with use.

How to restore the water repellency of your pants

Bear in mind that the water repellency can be reactivated. To do this, put the pants in the dryer on a synthetics cycle for 10 to 15 minutes.
You can also use a waterproofing spray (sold in our stores): spray the product evenly over the entire garment, then allow to dry for 10 to 12 hours.

What are “breathable” pants?

These pants wick perspiration away. To determine a fabric’s breathability, we test its total evaporative resistance (RET) based on the ISO 11092 standard. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. The 100 pants have an RET of 9. However, it is the technical solutions (zips, vents, mesh) that Wed’ze uses that reduce condensation inside and maximize breathability.

How should I dress to avoid having cold legs on the slopes?

To keep your legs warm and dry, two layers of clothing are enough:
- a ski base layer to wick away perspiration.
- ski pants to protect against bad weather and provide warmth.

How can I prevent snow from getting into my pants?

These pants have elastic gaiters at the ankles to cover your boots. If you fall or come into contact with fresh snow, the seal created by the gaiter keeps the snow out.

What is the fit of the 100 pants?

Regular fit roomy enough to wear with a high-tech base layer.

How do I wash my pants?

To optimize your product’s performance and durability, we recommend:
* Machine wash at 30°C, synthetic cycle.
* Turn the product inside out.
* Use a small amount of detergent. No fabric softener. * Wring by hand.
* Dry on a hanger in a warm, well-ventilated place.
Do not dry clean. Do not place on a radiator.
