Which fabrics are used to make my pants warm?
To help keep you warm, we used a recycled lining for insulation (60 g/m²). This synthetic, polyester-based lining traps air based on the size of the fibres to insulate you from the cold.

By recycling plastic bottles or partially recycled fabrics to produce our polyester, the use of petrol-based resources is reduced, all the while keeping the material's breathability in practice.

Textile dyeing requires a lot of water and produces waste water from the dye baths. We have opted for bulk dyeing to reduce the environmental impact, integrating the colour pigments from the initial thread manufacture.
What is the coating?
The coating is a waterproofing material spread over the interior of a fabric. It prevents water from seeping into the garment but allows sweat to escape. So you stay dry for greater comfort while practising your sport.
How is the water resistance of my pants measured?
The resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of a water column in mm that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. Components with a 3,000 mm rating can withstand the pressure of a 3,000 mm column of water (equivalent to a two-hour rain shower).
How can I be sure my pants will give me proper protection in bad weather?
These pants were developed and assembled to stop water from getting in and to prevent windchill so that you can brave the bad weather (rain, snow, wind, etc.). To verify its water-resistance, these pants were placed under a special shower reproducing the conditions faced by a skier. The waterproofness of this product was tested in practice in different weather conditions over several days.
Why is water repellency needed for my pants?
A fabric’s water repellency is its capacity to make water run off its surface without being absorbed. These pants feature water-repellent components that extend their weather resistance. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating its exterior surface. However, this may deteriorate with use.
Restoring water repellency
Water repellency can be restored. To do this, put the pants in the tumble dryer on a synthetics cycle for 10 to 15 minutes.
You can also use a waterproofing spray, sold in our stores: spray evenly over the entire garment, then allow to dry for 10 to 12 hours.
What are breathable pants?
This garment wicks away the water vapour produced by your body during exercise. To verify if a fabric is breathable, its resistance to evaporative heat (RET) is measured in a standardised ISO 11092 test. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. The 150 pants have a RET of 13. However, Wedze uses technical solutions (zippers, vents, mesh) to reduce the condensation inside the garment and to maximize breathability.
How should I dress to avoid having cold legs on the slopes?
To keep your legs warm and dry, two layers of clothing are enough:
- a ski base layer to wick away perspiration.
- ski pants to protect against bad weather and provide warmth.
How can I prevent snow from entering my pants?
Our pants have elastic coverings at the bottom. If you fall or come into contact with fresh snow, the seal created by the covering keeps the snow out.
What is the cut of the 180 pants?
They have a regular fit with an internal volume that allows them to be combined with a technical base layer.
How should I wash my pants?
To optimize your product’s performance and durability, we recommend:
* Machine wash at 30°, synthetic cycle.
* Turn the product inside out.
* Use a small amount of detergent. No fabric softener. * Wring it by hand.
* Dry on a hanger in a warm, well-ventilated place.
Do not dry clean. Do not place on a radiator.
