Is my jacket warm enough for winter hikes?
This jacket was designed for wintry conditions: cold, rain, and snow. 150 g/m² wadding on the body, 100 g/m² on the arms, and synthetic fleece that traps air provide insulation.
An inside flap under the zipper blocks cold air. The toggle tightening at the hem ensures your jacket is comfortable down to -10°C.
How does my jacket protect me from outdoor conditions?
Your jacket has a waterproof material that keeps out water and wind. To stay warm in winter, you must also protect your extremities (head, hands, feet). The warm hood, hook and loop tab fastenings at the cuffs, and high collar prevent the cold from entering. Two warm, very soft fleece pockets protect your hands from the cold.
How can I be sure that my jacket is 100% waterproof?
Your jacket has a waterproof coating on the outer fabric. A fabric’s resistance to water pressure is expressed in terms of the height of a water column in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A 2,000 mm waterproof rating can withstand the pressure of a 2,000 mm column of water. Shower-tested under 60 L/m2/hour of water, roughly equivalent to a two-hour rain shower.
Water often gets in through the seams. Does my jacket have waterproof seams?
Your jacket is waterproof because of the fully taped seams. The inside seams are also sealed with waterproof tape to prevent water seeping into more vulnerable areas.
The waterproofing is verified by conducting a test that replicates the conditions of a two-hour rain shower. The jacket was also field-tested in all weather conditions to make sure it’s suitable for your activities.

How to preserve the technical qualities of the jacket
Water repellency is a fabric’s capacity to make water run off its surface without being absorbed. It prevents the fabric from soaking up water, keeping it lightweight, warm, and breathable. Water repellency is achieved by treating the fabric’s exterior. The garment should be retreated over its lifespan (recommended after each wash). Products for this purpose (spray or liquid) are available in our stores.

How does my product warranty work?
This product is guaranteed for two years from the date shown on the sales receipt. A product covered by the warranty will be exchanged free of charge. The warranty covers product defects, excluding those resulting from normal wear and tear or improper use.
How to dress properly for cold-weather hiking
Whatever your cold-weather activity, use the three-layer principle:
Layer 1: A high-tech base layer to wick moisture away from the body and keep your skin dry.
Layer 2: A fleece or sweater to provide warmth and transfer moisture outwards.
Layer 3: A jacket to protect against the elements (rain, snow, and wind).
To eliminate moisture, the whole outfit must be breathable.
