Parka with wadding to ensure optimal comfort in temperatures down to -40°C.
Shower protection, 12 cm of rain for 2 hours.
Protects from the wind, thanks to the mechanical action of its lining.
Does not absorb moisture and offers protection from light rain.
Wild vegetation resistance
Puncture- and abrasion-resistant components and assembly.
Multiple large pockets with dual flaps that prevent water and snow getting in.
Over-sized zipper pulls that are easy to handle with big gloves.
Extremely warm clothing for extreme cold conditions. Protection from the cold, down to -20°C when remaining still for a long period (3+ h) and up to -40°C when active (walking 3 km/h).
The component's waterproof properties
With waterproofing of 2000 mm, the Taiga 300 parka offers an extremely high level of waterproofing.
We measure a fabric's resistance to a water column, in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure withstood by the fabric, the more waterproof it is. Components scoring 2000 mm can resist the pressure from 2000 mm of water (which is equivalent to a rain shower lasting 2 hours).
A score to compare the environmental impact of products
The product's environmental impacts are calculated across its entire life cycle using various indicators. An overall score of ABCDE is designed to help you easily identify the products with the best environmental performance by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, pants, backpacks, etc.).
Decathlon is a voluntary participant in this environmental labelling initiative.
