TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Sole grip

Sole design that has been the subject of extensive research in our laboratories, combined with a specific rubber formulation to optimize grip and traction. Because all needs are different, we always strive for the best balance between muddy and dry terrain.

Purchasing advice

Ask your child to try on both shoes, standing up, wearing their hiking socks. Check the following two areas of comfort: the heel and the front of the foot when going downhill. There should be no pressure points. Have your child walk around the store. Gradually increase the length of time they wear the shoes during initial walks to break the shoes in.

Which size should you choose?

For hiking, consider choosing one size up from your usual size to ensure optimal comfort when heading downhill and to prevent your toes from hitting the front of the shoes. Advice: keep your nails short and, before heading downhill, check that your lacing prevents your feet from sliding towards the front of the shoes.

Field tests

The comfort of all our shoes is tested when trying them on and in use by typical users under the real-life conditions you will encounter. Our Mission Tests bring the product manager together with people who are not affiliated with Quechua to test, develop, and approve the products.

Laboratory tests

Additional lab tests also check the following: tearing of eyelets and straps, adhesion, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion of sole and upper components, accelerated ageing.
