Sharpening

Blade angle 20°. An orange triangle on the back of the pack allows you to check the angle of the blade to a sharpening stone. All you have to do now is place the blade on the triangle, follow the slant and keep to this angle while sharpening on the stone.

5Cr15 stainless steel

Our engineers have chosen 5Cr15 stainless steel for this knife for 3 reasons:

- the steel is hard enough to keep an edge for a good length of time, such as for cutting branches or processing big game for a couple of hours.
- the steel is soft enough to allow easy sharpening thanks to a hardness of around 56 HRC and to regain its edge in a few passes on a sharpening base
- the steel has a good resistance to corrosion due to its chemical composition.

Maintenance

Your knife is assembled with four Torx screws. The screw closest to the blade is linked to the blade rotation mechanism. For example, if you want to make it harder to close and open the blade, then tighten this screw, and vice versa.
Carefully wipe the blade after use, do not put in the dishwasher, keep in a dry place and, to take even more care, lightly oil the blade.

One Of The Best Folders You Can Get

I personally liked the orange one better but that's personal preference. This is probably the only ergonomic and thick bladed folder I've seen in the market online and offline at this price range. I've liked this series of knives and have used the orange version of it before too, this one is pretty much the same except the opening and closing mechanism. It does not wobble when open and is quite safe to use. Therefore I can say with absolute confidence this is a great folder for your average hiking tasks, like cutting fruits and rope. I would not try to use it to carve, but I believe it can be used for that too. The quality of steel used is also the same as the old one so I know it will last long. 10/10 recommend.

I bought the "Axis 75 Grip folding knife orange" on 13/1/2019. Here i'd like to say that the blade is very sharp, knife looks good, easy to handle, easily can be fitted into pocket but the biggest disadvantage is that the locking mechanism; u can't rely on that anything can happen. I've used it rarely just to cut fruits. I's planning to take it for camping but what if it breaks ur trust. The lock mechanism (the part used to lock tge knife has broken). Honestly speaking i'vn't used it any where except cutting fruits. Very disapponted with this quality. So if any one taking this for camping/hiking pls don't rely on that better take a fixed knife not this folding knife otherwise anything can happen while cutting fruits, veg etc.
