Hi
I have used this product in all weather conditions
+35 °c to -15 °c. It ticks all boxes however few issues you may face while using it in sub-zero temp
1. Feet get colder easily as the temperature reached 0°C.
2. Not fully waterproof as claimed.
3. Person need to wear a minimum of 2 layers of socks to use it in below 0°c temperature.
Slightly heavy and uncomfortable to wear but good against cold surroundings
This shoes is good for winter, especially where snow is. But slippery in freezing roads where temperature gets down -8°c
Best
Before these I had tried not one but two pairs of merrells at a very similar price point and they were absolutely atrocious and returned them for a refund due to faulty sole issue and not being waterproof.
I then tried xpetis for the same price range and again totally terrible build quality as they were not waterproof at all - one shoe was slightly damp when dipped in a waterbucket, the other was absolutely sopping wet! So another return.
Due to the aforementioned bad experiences I was starting to lose hope with boots at this price bracket, thinking that may be the root cause of the issues but I am glad I did not give up!
I had bought the cheaper £27 waterproof boots from decathlon before and they served me well for a year although the soles were very thin - this was solved by adding some gel insoles. As such I had had a good reference point with decathlon so decided to give them another go.
Went with these figuring I would get better build quality on the soles front for a little extra and although I was a little concerned ordering online, due to not being able to try them on before the purchase, I went ahead and am very pleased I did. The order was very smooth and picked up in store at the click and collect point.
Came home and put them on. Great fit (I have quite a wide size 12 foot) and comfy with a good sturdy sole (unlike the cheaper line mentioned earlier). Now for the second test, which is as important as the first of fit and comfort - the waterproof test. I filled a bucket of water and slowly dipped them in while wearing them, being careful not to go above the sewn tongue. All clear!
The final test is to take them on a couple of good long walks and I can happily say I have now done so and they have passed with flying colours in that regard too. I usually have to buy myself some of the gel insoles for new shoes/boots as I find them uncomfortable with stock soles but this is the first time I have not had to do that for as long as I can remember. So yes very happy and would highly recommend.
I use this shoe in my daily routine and its vary comfortable, very light weight, warm. Worth it to buy.
These shoes skid like hell in snow as well as on water surface
