Great shoes at a reasonable price. Comfortable from day one. My second pair to replace a worn out pair. Better than more expensive brands.
Traction can be enhanced further, slippery on some wet grounds eg paths with pebbles finish, wooden paths with algae, aluminum checkered plates, manhole covers.
Hello Lek Woh,
Thank you for the review about our product: " Men's waterproof mountain hiking shoes - MH500 - Grey".
These are MOUNTAIN HIKING (MH) shoes (thus the use of the acronym MH500 to the model description) and they are very much suitable for MOUNTAIN hiking or MOUNTAIN trekking trails, not so much for casual or daily wear on the modern-day town terrains of aluminium checkered plates on the road or pathway, for instance. You hardly find an aluminium checkered plates on a mountain hiking or mountain trekking trails. These shoes are with outer soles that have traction lugs that grip unto the soil/ground to give it that support. Even in a hiking/trekking trails where there are roots and pebbles with algae that could be very slippery, which are common, to depend on the shoes alone for support and balance (since the traction lugs would not be able to grip to the soil due to these obstacles) is quite an incomplete conceptual thing to do in the said sports of hiking/trekking: In hiking/trekking there is a need for support of other gears to be used too, in this instance hiking sticks or trekking poles become a necessities to complement the hiking/trekking experience in providing good balance & support. And in cases where the trails could be of obstacles needing more than a single gear (mere hiking/trekking shoes alone not enough) to tackle (e.g river-crossing) - then wet shoes become the supplement, and so on and so on, in accordance of the hiking/trekking terrains we are dealing with. Should this shoes be used as a casual or daily day-to-day use in a modern day road or terrains, it would definitely not meant to be built for that purpose.
Nevertheless, we indeed value your honest feedback, Lek Woh and we will certainly relay these collated feedback to our Quechua Design & Brand Team for their reference in their continuous improvement efforts. Thank you so much for taking time to let us know of your opinion.
We hope to see you soon, when our Stores are allowed to be re-opened, hopefully soonest.
But meantime, stay safe and take care, Lek Woh.

Very happy with the look feel and comfort!
Really good quality and comfortable walking shoe. Obviously water can enter the top of the shoe in heavy rain but the material itself does a really good job of keeping water out.
Very comfortable and good quality.
Only heel support is a bit loose and laces come easily undone.
Very happy with these walking shoes, these are my second pair for when the first finally wear out. Best walking shoes I've had over many years and different makes, you can happily use then all winter, through wet fields and even near totally submerge them and your feet will still be dry.
Bopught these for a holiday in Costa Rice and delighted with the performance. They had great grip on all outdoor surfaces and kept my feet dry across really saturated and slippery ground in rain forest areas. They have lots of cushioning and even with thick socks on were fine in 33C heat and close to 100% humidity. Lighter and freer than a full walking boot but still lots of confidence to tackle the rough stuff.
Comfortable, slightly heavier than expected. Not tested the waterproof properly yet.
Very comfortable shoes.
