Thermal properties and warmth

Put your sleeping bag on the aluminized side with the foam side on the ground to minimize loss of body heat.
R-value: 1.2 (measured by EMPA, an independent laboratory)
The R-value measures thermal performance and insulation. The higher the R-value, the better the mattress insulates you from cold ground.
An R-value of 5.9 is equivalent to a minimum temperature rating of approximately -24°C. 0.7 is equivalent to a temperature rating of +11°C.
The R-value is not a standard (in progress).

Product test

The sleeping comfort or "postural comfort" of mattresses is defined by our Research and Development Centre. All our mattresses undergo mechanical tests to check the performance and resistance of the mattress to make sure you get the best sleep and the best recovery. We also carry out numerous field tests in real-life conditions.

For what it's worth, it gets the job done. Only bought it, as I didn't want to spend too much on a self-inflatable mat. It kept me reasonably warm and insulated from the ground. However, I will be looking at self-inflatable mats for my next trip.
