Spry 8000 LC Reel Technical Characteristics

The line retrieve per crank of a carp fishing reel corresponds to the average length (in centimetres) of line picked up with every turn of the handle.

The ratio of a reel corresponds to the number of times the spool turns with every turn of the handle 
(e.g., a 5.8:1 ratio means the spool spins 5.8 times per crank).

Fighting a carp puts a lot of strain on the reel, which has to be able to withstand the tension. Drag power is measured in kg.
Our Spry reel has a 7 kg drag (8 kg for the 8000 version), which is plenty for fighting even the biggest specimens.
The most spirited battles rarely require more than 3 kg.

Drag power

A baitrunner reel allows you to use a secondary drag system when you get a bite on your line. Switching between drag systems is as simple as turning the crank.
You can therefore preset the drag for fish that put up a fight.
