This saddle is available in two different sizes: 145 mm and 155 mm (5 2/3 and 6"). We conducted tests in collaboration with our research and development laboratory: Decathlon Sportslab. The goal of this study was to be able to recommend the correct saddle size based on the distance between the sit bones, for both male or female road cyclists riding several times a week.

1. Tests conducted with Decathlon SportsLab

For a sit bone distance between 90 and 120 mm (3 1/2 to 5"), choose the 145 mm (5 2/3") saddle. 
For a sit bone distance between 120 and 140 mm (5 and 5 1/2"), choose the 155 mm (6") saddle.
If you used a more upright position on your bike (with a back angle between 45° and 60°), you can opt for the larger 155 mm (6") saddle. This will provide greater comfort during your rides.

2. Choosing your saddle width

Equipment required: 2 pieces of cardboard, a stool (with a flat surface), a ruler, a pen. 1. Place the two pieces of cardboard on top of each other. 2. Sit on the stool with your back straight. Next, exert force on the stool by pulling it upwards for 1 minute. 3. Stand up and identify the points where your sit bones have pushed into the cardboard. 4. Identify the centre of these two marks and draw a line connecting them.

To make the most of your bike ride:

Equipment required: a measuring tape, a book, and a pencil. Stand up, barefoot, with your back against a wall. Keep your feet slightly apart (around 15-20 cm [6-8"] max) and your heels against the wall. Look straight ahead.
b. Next, place the book against the wall and slide it between your legs up to your perineum: apply a slight force to imitate the pressure of the saddle.

1. Determining your saddle height(part 1)

c. Measure the distance between the top of the book and the floor, and transfer that measurement to your bike. You'll need to multiply the value you get by 0.883. 
(Ex: if you measure 89 cm [35"], you'll need 89 x 0.883 = 78.6 cm [31"]. This means that the centre of your saddle to the centre of your bottom bracket should measure 78.6 cm [31"])

1. Determining your saddle height (part 2)

To do this step, adjust the incline to be flat using a bubble level that you place on the front of the saddle (from the centre of the saddle to the tip).
We recommend going on a few rides to find the right saddle incline adjustment.

2. Adjusting saddle incline

The forward or backward distance of the saddle is very important, since it'll help you be more effective on your ride and reduce discomfort. 
a. Sit on your bike and keep yourself stationary, by holding yourself against a wall for example.
b. Clip your bike shoes into the pedals and place the crank horizontally, parallel to the ground. c. The pedal axle should be aligned with the front of your knee (not too far forward or backward).

3. Adjust your saddle forward or backward

This road, gravel and mountain bike saddle is designed for all cyclists.

This saddle is available in two sizes: 145 mm (5.7”) and 155 mm (6.1”). We have done tests in partnership with our R&D lab: Decathlon Sportslab. The goal of the study was to be able to recommend the correct saddle size based on the distance between the sit bones, for every cyclist riding several times a week.


1.Tests done with Decathlon Sportslab

For a sit bone distance between 90 mm (3.5”) and 120 mm (4.7”), choose the 145 mm (5.7”) saddle. 
For a sit bone distance between 120 mm (4.7”) and 140 mm (5.5”), choose the 155 mm (6.1”) saddle.
If you tend to use a more upright position on your bike (with a back angle between 45° and 60°), choose the larger 155 mm (6.1”) saddle. This will make your rides more comfortable.

2.Choose you saddle width

Required equipment: 2 pieces of cardboard, a stool (with a flat surface), a ruler, a pen.

How to look after your bike

This kit contains the 3 products needed to carry out the 3 steps required to properly maintain your bike. You will be able to carry out at least 3 full services on your bike.

03. All-weather chain lubricant (50 ml)

Kit contents

This degreaser lets you effectively degrease your drive train. You can apply it using a brush or our chain cleaner. 
Application with a brush: pour about 25 ml into a pot and apply generously to your chain, cassette, derailleurs and derailleur pulleys. Leave for a few moments then move on to step 2.
Application with the chain cleaner: pour on about 9 ml, turn the pedals a few times before moving on to step 2.

How to use the drive train degreaser

Pour about 30 ml of concentrate into a bucket of water then apply generously with a sponge to the whole bike. 
The product will not damage the paint or any other components of the bike.
Rinse with clean water then dry your bike. Pay particular attention to drying, especially your drive train, to ensure total efficiency later on. Now you can move on to step 3.

How to use the concentrated bike cleaner

Remove the cap, position the applicator on the lower part of the chain (inner side) and make a full turn (in the opposite direction to pedalling). 
To make sure you don’t apply too much, use your quick-release as a guide.  
Remove the excess lubricant with a cloth placed under the chain, then do 2 or 3 complete turns of the pedal (in the opposite direction).
The lubricant will protect your chain in all riding conditions.

How to use your chain lubricant

01. degrease your drive train if you’re applying the product with a brush, be careful not to project the dirt towards you.
02. concentrated bike cleaner: in winter, use warm water to make this step easier and use cold water in the summer.
03. chain lubricant: apply on the inside of the chain, position the applicator on the lower part of the chain.

Good to know

Remember to degrease your chain before applying new grease in order to remove any residue that could make abrasive contact with your drive train. This will help your equipment last longer and save you money.

Inspect the tread to measure wear and to know when they need replacing. The tread comes into direct contact with the ground, determining your tire’s performance.

Replace your tire when the centre knobs are worn down to the same height as the side knobs.

How to measure tire wear

To remove your tire, start by deflating the inner tube completely. 
Once deflated, use a tire lever to remove it from the rim.

How to remove a tire

Make sure the arrow on the sidewall is pointing forward.
To put your tire back on, place the bead (the rigid part that determines the shape of your tire) on the rim.
Next, inflate your inner tube by approximately 30% before fitting it to the rim (inflating it beforehand reduces the risk of pinching the inner tube).

Fit the second bead to the rim, starting on the side opposite the valve.


How to fit a tire

Inflate your tire carefully. The recommended pressure is indicated on the side of the tire and on its product sheet (available online).
Always make sure your tires are at the correct pressure before heading out on your ride.

How to inflate your tire correctly

When inflating your tire, make sure you inflate it to the suitable pressure for the terrain and the weather conditions you will be riding in.
When riding in rainy weather, lower the tire pressure to improve its grip. When riding in dry weather, increase the pressure for better performance. Always make sure your tires are at the correct pressure before heading out on your ride.
