You can use 28 mm (1”) weights with the 1.2 m (4’) bar, including: Our cast iron weights: - 0.5 kg to 20 kg (1 lb to 44 lb) Our rubber coated weights: - 1.25 kg (2.75 lb) (ref: 8388222) - 2.5 kg (5.5 lb) (ref: 8388695) - 5 kg (11 lb) (ref: 8388696) - 10 kg (22 lb) (ref: 8388223) - 20 kg (44 lb) (ref: 8388237) Always secure your weights with disc collars, such as the 28 mm (1”) Smart Disc Collar (ref: 8574652).
Store your 1.20 m (4’) weight training bar correctly so it lasts longer.
This steel weight training bar does not like moisture! Do not store it outdoors or in a damp place (such as a cellar). To clean it after your workout, you can wipe it with a damp cloth. Most of our weight training racks are equipped with a bar support. If you don’t have a weight training rack, we’ve designed a storage rack (ref: 8788246) where you can easily store your bars and weights.
Tips from our coach on using the 1.20 m (4’) bar
Toning the legs and glutes with the 1.20 m (4’) bar: - Lunges with bar: 4 x 10-15 reps per leg - Squats with bar: 3 x 10-15 reps Back strengthening with the 1.20 m (4’) bar: - Bent over row: 3 x 12-15 reps For each exercise, start with the lower number of reps, leaving a 2-rep margin, then increase by one rep per week until you reach the higher number. Increase your weight and start again with the lower number.

It’s a nice enough bar. Well built and sturdy without sharp edges and burrs. However, it is not a standard 1 inch diameter, so one can only use Decathlon weights on them. I used it for a while now but when I wanted to add more weight, I looked for secondhand standard plate
s and they won’t fit. So one needs to be aware of that.
