UPF is a sun protection factor (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) and is standardized worldwide.
How much UV light a fabric lets through to your skin. In order to meet the standards (EN 131758-1), the UPF 50+ component has to block at least 95% of UVB rays and 98% of UVA rays.
Our anti-UV t-shirt 500 with hood is UPF 50+ certified, guaranteeing effective protection from the sun. It can be worn in or out of the water.

The cap features ventilation eyelets to help evacuate perspiration during active hunts. At the same time, its inner mesh-type fabric band absorbs sweat.

It is important for a cap to be comfortable. Our plain 500 cap has been designed with a rip-tab strap on the back so that it can be adjusted to fit most heads. It is suitable for head circumferences ranging from 56 cm to 60 cm.

Customization

UV protection standards for hats are very specific. The fabric must be anti-UV (UPF index greater than 50), but this isn’t enough to claim that the finished product is anti-UV. The hat must also have a wide brim and flap that fully protects the face and the back of the neck (7 cm/2.7”)

All our UV-resistant T-shirts are UPF 50+, meaning they offer maximum sun protection.  Choose your sleeve length based on your activity.
That said, our line was primarily designed to meet the specific needs of surfers.

Choose your T-shirt based on the duration of your surf session: 1 hour, 2 hours, or 3 hours.

How to choose your rash guard (Part 1)

1 hour: Occasional practice. Choose either a loose fit (easy to put on, comfortable when dry) or a tight fit (comfortable when wet). Look for a loop system so you can fasten the rash guard to your shorts.
2 hours: Regular practice. A rash guard with a drawstring and seamless underarm panels will improve fit and comfort in the water.
3 hours: Intensive practice. A style with added warmth will let you stay out longer.

How to choose a UV protection T-shirt (Part 2: )

Ideal for water sports, they can be worn in or out of the water. Chlorine-resistant.

UPF (ultraviolet protection factor) is an international standard that measures  the proportion of UV rays a fabric lets through to your skin.A UPF of 50+ means that the fabric blocks at least 98% of UVB rays and 95% of UVA rays.

What does UPF 50+ mean?

This rash guard reduces chafing against your surfboard or bodyboard. Its loose fit makes it easier to put on and more comfortable when dry. Choose the fitted 100 or 500 model if you prefer comfort when wet or plan to wear it under a wetsuit. Shown to reduce chafing during 1-hour sessions. If you plan to surf for longer, our 500 UV rash guard with seamless underarm panels is a better choice.

This rash guard has a front loop that attaches to the cord of your swim shorts to keep it from riding up while you surf. Ideal for sessions of up to an hour. For more than 1 hour, we recommend choosing the 500 UV top, which also has a drawstring at the hips for better stability. A rash guard can cause irritation on the lower abdomen if it rides up.

Support and stability in waves

This rash guard is recommended for use in water temperatures of 22°C and up. Air temperature may affect this recommendation. 
Our thermal models are made of fleece, neoprene, or both. We recommend choosing a model made with neoprene if you’ll be out in conditions where the wind exceeds 15 km/h.

Warmth and wind

Our UV T-shirts meet the needs of the most demanding surfers. They’re compatible with many other water sports, including swimming, kitesurfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, water skiing, and stand-up paddle boarding.

Suitable for multiple water sports

This top is UV-resistant, but it doesn’t provide total sun protection. Consider other factors like reflections (off water, sand, etc.), temperature, and time of day. Wearing this top is just one part of staying safe in the sun. You should also wear sunglasses and a hat or cap, apply sunscreen regularly, and drink plenty of water.

Laboratory tests were conducted for following elements: tear resistance of eyelets and straps, bonding, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion resistance of outsole and upper components, and accelerated aging. 
We use these tests to improve the quality of our products and prevent the premature wear of our hiking shoes.

Our hiking boots offer heightened comfort. We have included various design features in these boots to take care of your feet such as the EVA foam insole (flexible thermoplastic) and heel pad.
The insoles are also removable so they can be washed.

Comfort

The sole design is the result of extensive research conducted in our labs. It is composed of a specific rubber formula that optimizes grip and traction. We are always looking for the best solution for forest and coastal walking trails.
Wearing the boots on paved roads can lead to the premature wear of your boots and cause discomfort. They are not suitable for mountain hiking.

Resistant soles for hiking trails

These shoes are somewhat breathable, but not enough to wick away all moisture. Wear them with the Hike 50 Mid Socks: these socks are made with moisture-absorbing cotton and have a reverse terry-knit structure underneath that wicks moisture away from your feet. They’re also high enough to protect your ankles. High socks reduce the chance of blisters.

Wool fibres can store a lot of air and let water vapour escape, making wool an excellent choice for moisture management and thermal regulation. Wool’s ability to store and release moisture make it an insulating, comfortable material for hiking socks.

The properties of wool

Follow these principles for your winter activities. 
Warmth: wear warm socks (ideally with a good percentage of wool).
 Breathability: choose socks based on the intensity of the hike and, to minimize moisture, make sure they’re breathable.
Boot height: the height of the sock should correspond to the height of the boot—for more protection, choose higher socks.

What criteria must a hat meet to qualify as anti-UV?

Polyamide offers excellent abrasion and tear resistance. Micro-organisms and mould don’t like the synthetic fibre!

How is polyamide more resistant?

The product is machine washed 3 times, then line dried. Next, we immerse it in water and measure how long it takes to get back to its pre-wash weight.
This hat scored an impressive 5 out of 5 stars, getting back to its pre-washed weight in less than 80 minutes.
