This cover was designed to avoid these risks.
We wanted to create a cover that was quick to put on, so a stretch cover solution was chosen. When using it, we discovered another benefit: you feel like you are pampering your board.

Why this bag?

For a short trip, just remove the snow.
Once you are home, take time to wipe the edges properly to prevent rust. The material around the edges on the nose and tail isn’t breathable, but it is durable so your cover will last longer.

Watch out for rust

It has to be snapped to stretch it out. 
This may seem worrying because when you hear it snap, it may sound like you’re tearing it. But that’s not the case at all: It isn’t the zigzag seam breaking; it’s a thread required for production that is no longer needed. So there’s no need to worry!

The cover does not protect from impacts i you drop your board on the ground. The travel bag for the grey Comfort 500 Snowboard (8399495) fulfills this role.

So we decided:

For Freestyle use, you can go for a relatively short board:choose a 20 or 25 cm (7.9–9.8”) drop (for example, a rider who is 1.74 m tall (5”8) should choose a board between 154 and 149 cm in length).
A smaller board makes rotations and tricks easier. A bigger board will be more stable at high speed and when landing jumps.
The Park and Ride Snowboard should be quite short. The 158 Wide size is ideal for well-built users.

What size Endzone Park and Ride Snowboard should I choose?

A word from the product manager

The Park and Ride Snowboard is true to its name: it’s as good in snow parks as on- and off-piste.  In snow parks, it is perfect for jumps (tables) and inspires confidence on landing. 
Its standard camber gives it pop for jumps and stability at full speed. 
The rocker makes for good handling, as well as buoyancy in powdery snow. 
Its Powder Stance makes it enjoyable in the powder snow, like a freeride board.

Terrain

The shape of the snowboard is twin tip: The board’s sidecuts are balanced from front to rear for perfect symmetry and centring when riding in both directions. For even greater versatility, we have shifted the inserts by 20 mm (0.8”), making the Park and Ride Snowboard a “false” twin tip, just directional enough to ride in the park without issues.

All the advantages of both the standard camber (thanks to the board’s elasticity, a standard camber serves as a spring to provide grip on all types of snow, edge-to-edge dynamism, and recoil when coming out of turns) and the rocker (under constraint, the board’s points of contact with the snow come closer together, making the board more manageable). The rocker elongates and raises the nose so that it can glide better over powder.

Flex is the stiffness of the board between the front and rear. 
The flex of the Park and Ride Snowboard is about 6/10, which is medium and versatile. It is reliable in carved turns and forgiving of edge mistakes.

The torsion is about 6/10 on the Park and Ride Snowboard, which is fairly stiff for good hold in the curves, recovery coming out of a turn, and responsive edge transition. It is also flexible enough for some freestyle riding. It’s the medium torsional stiffness that gives the Park and Ride Snowboard good all-round handling without making it a jib board.

Medium and versatile torsion (6/10)

The setback is when the board’s compression points on the snow are not symmetrical in relation to the centre of the board but set back toward the rear. The bindings are also set back toward the rear by the same distance.
20 mm (0.8”) setback = slight setback, a versatile, near-centred board, not only for riding in both directions, but also for better balance during rotations in the air and on slopes.

With the Endzone 500 Snowboard bindings, the board and binding combination will be homogeneous in terms of level with coherent design.

Recommended bindings

Wedze boards come pre-waxed.
Like all snowboards, they require regular maintenance: ideally, wax them every 5 outings and at least once a year: 
- at the beginning of the season to start with an optimal glide
- at the end of the season so that the wax protects the base all summer long

When should you wax your snowboard?

The bases are made from polyethylene using two different technical processes: 

- extruded base, with a certain density of polyethylene 
- a sintered base, with a higher density of polyethylene (fewer holes, more PE) 

A sintered base is the ultimate in bases. It offers fantastic glide.

A wide board is wider than normal to prevent larger feet from touching the snow when turning or to increase buoyancy on powder. The width of the board is measured at its centre.

At Decathlon, we have defined them as follows: 
- up to 245 mm (9.6”): narrow board/shoe size 3.5–6.5
- from 246–255 mm (9.6–10”): normal board/shoe size 5–8
- from 256–265 mm (10–10.4”): Mid Wide/shoe size 7–10
- from 266 mm (10.5”): wide/shoe size 8.5–13

What is the Wide version snowboard?

Yes. You can ask your store to fit your bindings to suit your own preferences. Remember to take your snowboard boots with you for 2 adjustments:

1. The front/back of the binding, so that the toes or heels of the boots don’t stick out on one side more than the other
 2. The straps on your bindings, which should be properly adjusted for your boots.

Can the store mount the bindings on my board for me?

We wanted to develop a versatile board for riders who are not interested in snow parks. This board is suitable for on-piste and off-piste use without requiring top fitness and technical skills.

The Serenity 500 Snowboard is the all-mountain board par excellence: 50% piste and 50% off-piste. You can go anywhere, on all types of snow, on groomed slopes, off-piste, and of course, on powder.
Not for use in snow parks: this board is not designed for modules or riding switch.

Program/terrain

The shape of the board is directional (has a front and a rear). It is not symmetric, as the tail of the board is slightly narrower than the nose, and the bindings as well as the board’s contact points are slightly set back. A directional shape gives better edge grip when turning, better control of the trajectory, and more acceleration on exiting turns.

Choose a board that is 15 to 20 cm shorter than your height on the All-Mountain (for example, someone who is 1.66 m tall should choose a board between 1.46 m and 1.51 m in length). Because the Serenity 500 Snowboard has a rocker, choose one a little larger.
A shorter board is easier to control. This is also suggested for people who are light for their height. A bigger board will be more stable at high speeds.

How do I set up my snowboard bindings?

Yes. 
0% park just means that the technical features of this snowboard are not designed for freestyle riding: the board is neither short nor symmetrical in the front and back, making it possible to perform all freestyle movements such as rotations and jumps with a switch landing, but it’s not really the best board for this. 
However, on piste or when freeriding, it’s perfect for straight jumps.
