Box contents

These pedals come with screws and Shimano SPD-compatible Rockrider cleats.

Bike and Shoe Compatibility

These pedals have a 9/16" (1.4 cm) standard thread that is compatible with all adult mountain, hybrid, road and indoor bikes on the market. The flat side of these 500 combination mountain bike pedals ensures great grip for your ordinary shoes. The clipless side is compatible with all shoes that take Rockrider cleats that are Shimano SPD compatible. We recommend the ST 100 (ref. 8512376) ST 500 (ref. 8500914)

Mounting

To mount the pedals, you’ll need a 15-mm (3/5")wrench or a 6-mm (1/4") Allen key. Make sure you screw each pedal on the right way: clockwise for the right, and counterclockwise for the left.

Adjustment

The holding and release tension of the Shimano SPD compatible cleat can be adjusted to suit your preferences.

Security

When learning to use clipless pedals, make sure you plan ahead each time you want to unclip and put your foot down (at traffic lights, when stopping, or when there's an obstacle in the way). If you aren't yet completely at ease with cleats, you might want to use the flat side of your pedals on the more technical sections of your ride.

Bought these pedals for my daughter, and she has not had any issues with them. One side when she bikes school, the other side used with her biking shoes for longer more intense trips.

Tried a few at the store, difficult to rotate. Very poor. Spend $10 more and get a much better 2 side product.

Not for a beginner!

Well, not a bad stuff and price is good compared to equivalent brands but lack of hard copy instructions and QR code that leads to “private video” on YouTube in addition to the need to remove the reflector to manage getting to the tension adjustment screw, all of these would m

ake it a huge challenge for someone who has never used one of these pedals before. I am surprised that Decathlon customers service see more than 35 unhappy customers (at the time I am writing my review) showing in their reviews the same challenges I mentioned herein above but have not sorted them out although very easy to sort out the YouTube video problem or add installation instructions at Decathlon website.

A very poor product.

There is far too much resistance to the pedals turning, and a strange vibration when they do. The pedals are also amazingly heavy. I returned them immediately. Don't waste your time with them.

These are well designed and well made plus good value. However, if you've never fitted cleats before then you'll need to work this out. There are no instructions on how to assemble the multitude of parts. There is a qr code that links to a YouTube video. However, the video is

private and can't be viewed

Reasonably priced, well made and robust pedals that increase efficiency as you can pull up with your rear leg as you push down with your forward leg giving you twice the power almost for the same action. They have a flat side so that normal footwear can be used for regular cyc

ling.
