Batteries
3 x AAA for the front light (included) 2 x AA for the back light (included) Compatible with rechargeable batteries. To change the batteries for the back light, use a coin. For the front light, simply slide the cover backwards off the light
First use
To avoid wasting energy before the product is sold, there is a small plastic strip separating the batteries. Remember to remove this strip before use. |

Unique light and good value

First, it is rare to see a German STVZO spec. headlight being sold here so I had to try it out and see what it's like. No flash mode is a bit lame (due to STVZO spec.) but the headlight beam is great for true night riding where streetlights are not enough or not there at all,
like in the park trails. It gives some short range illumination, and very good medium-long range illumination with a nice smooth carpet of light on the ground. This is not another flashlight design that dumps half the light output on tree branches and glaring people, this is a proper nightime headlight! Second, $30 is great value for what you get and batteries are included. You can put in more powerful or rechargable AAA batteries later. Many thanks to Decathlon for bringing in this product.

The product claims to have around 33 hrs battery life for the front light but mine went out after approx 8 hours total use. This was really dangerous while cycling at night.
