Close all zippers and flaps, empty all pockets, and turn the jacket inside out. Wash it on the synthetics cycle at 30°C or 40°C with your usual detergent. Don’t use fabric conditioner or bleach, as these could damage the water-repellent coating.

Very important: choose a full-rinse cycle or extra rinse.

By recycling plastic bottles or used fabrics to produce our polyester, we reduce the use of petrol-based resources while maintaining the material’s quality and performance during hikes.
We use recycled polyester fibres on the blue (code 8731538) and on the red (code 8650029), as well as for the jacket lining in all colours.

Why choose recycled polyester?

The fabric of this jacket is water-repellent, i.e., water runs off its surface without being absorbed. This keeps the fabric from soaking up water so the jacket stays lightweight and breathable. A water-repellent treatment is applied to the exterior of the fabric. The main seams are also taped.

Fabric breathability

We changed our water-repellent treatments to exclude perfluorocarbon (PFC) technologies.
PFCs make fabric water-repellent but are toxic to humans and the environment. By replacing PFCs with other technologies that deliver the same level of performance, we reduce our environmental impact.

Your health is our top priority

To maintain water repellency, we recommend regular reactivation. 
Reactivate water repellency after three washes (remember to rinse thoroughly) or after using a dozen times in the rain. 
You can easily reactivate water repellency by warming the fabric: 
- in a dryer for 15 minutes (synthetics cycle) – with a hair dryer, moving back and forth from a distance of 20 cm (8”), twice
 – with an iron on the delicate setting and with the steam function off

How to maintain your jacket’s waterproof coating and long life

How much you perspire depends on the intensity and duration of your physical activity. If the fabric’s breathability is not right for your activity, perspiration will condense inside the jacket. Your clothing will feel damp. this is not rain coming through, but condensation caused by perspiration. It’s important to choose a jacket based on the type of physical activity you will be doing. This jacket is designed for the occasional one-day hike at a speed of 5 km/h (3 mph).

Choose your waterproof jacket according to the intensity of your activity.
