Lighting modes
The Trek 100 head lamp has 3 modes so you can adapt to every situation: Fixed red mode for discreet lighting in a shelter or to preserve your night vision. Eco mode for reading maps or for use in the bivouac. Power mode for hiking on footpaths.
Battery type
1150 mAh lithium-ion battery that recharges a micro USB cable (supplied) and is compatible with external chargers and Forclaz solar panels. Recharge time: approx. 2.5 to 3 hours.
Optical beam
The wide beam diffuses light evenly so you can see in front of you and to the sides.
Lighting technology
Standard LED lighting: the lighting performance drops incrementally as the battery loses its charge, for greater battery life.

Great value. Not the brightest light but definitely sufficient for walking/jogging over technical terrain. The battery tends to die out very quickly (i.e. ~1hr) in very cold conditions (-20°C).
