Drop

The drop is the difference between the length and weight (in inches and ounces). The further away from zero the figure is, the lighter and more manoeuvrable the bat. The closer to zero the figure is, the heavier the bat and the more power it provides.

Calculating the drop

The best baseball bat is a length you feel most comfortable swinging. If you are new to the game or want to re-size, follow the steps below to measure yourself:

1. Measure from the centre of your chest to the tip of your index finger, making sure your arm is straight out at your side.

2. Put the bat down along your side; if your palm reaches 
the handle, the bat is the right size.
