After several years of R&D by Artengo and the Decathlon SportsLab, the patented Lateral Cushioning System (Lateral CS) guarantees sustained lower impacts from the ground for tennis players.

Biomechanical studies carried out on tennis players' movements revealed that "high impact durability" foam, when placed strategically in the sole, could reduce the force of impact by 13% (compared to the 2019 TS 990 model).
