1 - Choosing the right size
Choose ski size according to your weight and not ski length. 550 Cross-Country Skate Skis: Medium camber - 45 kg to 55 kg (99 lb to 121 lb) = 174 cm - 50 kg to 65 kg (110 lb to 143 lb) = 181 cm - 60 kg to 75 kg (132 lb to 165 lb) = 188 cm Hard camber - 75 kg to 90 kg (165 lb to 198 lb) = 188 cm - 90 kg to 110 kg (198 lb to 242 lb) = 193 cm It’s important to take your skill level into account—a long ski optimizes glide and speed.
2 - A sintered base for superior glide
The base is the part of the ski in contact with the snow. It is made of polyethylene (HDPE), which can be extruded or sintered during the manufacturing process. The sintered base of the 550 Cross-Country Skate Skis is made from high molecular weight plastic powder that is heated, compressed, and cut into slabs. This process produces a denser base and delivers superior glide and durability.
3 - Xcelerator bindings: the technology that increases your speed!
All skis include Rottefella Bindings compatible with NNN, Prolink, and Turnamic. The 550 Cross-Country Skate Skis are equipped with Rottefella Xcelerator Pro skating bindings and the quick lock system. To optimize body positioning and make it easier for you to adjust without tools. Slide the bindings forward to provide more stability, or slide them toward the back for a better glide.
4 - Waxing: the key to durability!
We recommend waxing the underside of new skis for optimal glide. Several consecutive waxes are best to build up a proper base. To keep skis in top performing condition, remember to wax them often! Check out tutorials on how to wax your skis on our Inovik YouTube channel.

Skieur débutant ces skis sont parfaits pour moi : ils n'ont rien à envier aux skis de locations. Un bon fartage avant la première utilisation et ça glisse... Petit bémol : un flexor s'est détaché et n'est ni pris en charge par le SAV ni disponible en pièce détache chez decat

a glisse soit optimale: le cambre "hard" en taille 188 cm, que vous avez choisi correspond à une plage de poids comprise entre 75 et 90 kg par exemple. Ensuite, nous vous conseillons de farter vos skis dès la première utilisation, soit par vous-même, soit dans l'atelier de votre magasin. De très bons skis pour des sorties courtes et pour des skateurs occasionnels qui sont dans le loisir plus que dans la performance. Permet de bien démarrer le skating et de progresser. Les farter régulièrement.
