Lighting technology
Constant LED lighting: lighting performance does not decrease as batteries lose charge. The battery life is calculated according to the FL1 standard. For each mode, this corresponds to the maximum duration during which the lamp provides at least 10% of the maximum power of the mode in question. Maximum power is measured between 30 seconds and 1 minute after the lamp is switched on, with a full battery charge.
Optimal lamplight range
Maximum range of 25 m in full power mode. The range is measured according to the FL1 standard: It corresponds to the maximum distance at which the lamp provides a brightness of 0.25 lux (local measurement). This brightness is equivalent to that provided by the moon in the best possible conditions.
Construction
Single-unit design for optimal compactness. Easily accessible switch on the top of the lamp The 500 USB Head Lamp can be locked (by holding it in the off position for a few seconds) to prevent accidental lighting in your bag.
Headband
15 mm wide removable and washable headband. Composition: 70% polyester and 30% natural rubber for maximum comfort. The two symmetrical buckles make it easy to tighten. The 500 USB Head Lamp can be adjusted to fit all head sizes, from children to adults, as well as mountain helmets.
Storage
The Forclaz 500 USB Head Lamp comes with a fabric pouch and USB cable to protect and store it. The lack of disposable packaging reduces the impact on the environment

Amazing headlamp! Get two and you are well set for a journey, be it a long weekend or two weeks one. You can always rely on one, while the other is charging from the powerbank. I also use the "spare one" in the tent for general light. So small, so bright!

Having not needed to use it since I. Light it, the on off switch developed a fault after one use. You can barely turn the thing on (or off once you have fought to get it on). Unreliable tech. Avoid this one.

I used petzel torches and they are solid but for my hiking - over engineered for me. This is more basic but suits me as at night I am in camp or bed. so night reading with power adjustable light really good not complicated. Nipping to the loo too on higher power. Around ca
mp so light weight. I now replaced petzel . would not night hike with it but I don’t do that anyway and not many people do , views not so good. Very light weight. Battery at 3 nights with small usage easy enough power. Light lock prevent false turning on in bag.

This is a very well priced head light. I’m really surprised at just how good it is. It’s super easy to use and weighs so little you forget it’s on your head. I bought this as a backup for my hiking trips but it’s now been promoted to my main headlamp ahead of my £85 Fenix. Yes
, it’s down on power but the versatility and light weight more than compensate. Would I buy this again? Yes, in a heartbeat.
