Forged from steel

The pitching wedge, 8-iron and 9-iron are forged blades made of 1025 steel. This mild steel offers an unbeatable feel and is carbon-enriched to enhance its mechanical properties. On the 5-iron to 7-iron, a forged face made of 455 steel provides a great feel. A moulded, hollow clubhead made from 17-4 PH steel provides the forgiveness and power of hollow technology.

Advanced clubs at a glance

An advanced club is also a matter of appearance and confidence. We have therefore gradually minimized the offset. It is almost absent from the short irons but can be found on the long irons without being obtrusive. The same principle has been applied to the topline. A very fine topline has been marked on the short irons. You can be sure you’re holding a precision club so you can play the ball exactly as you imagined.

Angle of attack

Hours of testing have enabled us to calibrate the lofts of the 900 irons. This ensures that regardless of the technology used, there are perfectly regular distance intervals between each club. We have chosen to laser-engrave the loft onto each clubhead. This means you know exactly what you’re playing with. The 900 set is to be supplemented with the 900 wedges. They continue on seamlessly from the 44° 900 Pitching Wedge. You have the choice between four 900 wedges: 48°, 52°, 56° and 58°.

A word from our product manager

“The advanced club par excellence is the forged blade, with its sleek, elegant design and unbeatable feel. This is what we chose on our short irons for maximum feel and feedback every time you take on the green. But the blade becomes harder to play with the medium irons and an outright challenge with the long irons. So, starting from 7-iron, a hollow clubhead ensures control, power and forgiveness. The combo set—the best of both worlds.”

3-iron and 4-iron available separately.

The 3-iron and 4-iron are available as separate clubs to supplement your set of 900 irons. They are fitted to the same shafts for perfect consistency. 4-iron: Loft 22° 3-iron: Loft 19° Our utility irons provide you with more confidence in the address position and offer greater distance and forgiveness for these harder shots. The forged face made of 455 steel has been kept for a great feel and to ensure continuity with the 900 set. The moulded hollow head is made from 17-4 PH steel.

Available in two shaft lengths

We have defined 2 lengths of club. Watch our video or visit a store to select the size that suits your game. - Size 1 if your hand/ground distance is less than 78.5 cm (31") - Size 2 if your hand/ground distance is more than 78.5 cm (31")

Clubs that reflect your swing speed

Three shafts for three speeds. For each speed, we selected the shaft that provides the best distance/accuracy ratio. We conducted a study with around one hundred golfers, which allowed us to categorize golfers’ swings into 3 groups: low, medium and high speed.

How to find out your swing speed?

A simple question: you’re on the fairway, 135 metres (443') from the flag—which club do you choose? - 5-iron, hybrid, wood: you have a low swing speed (< 70 mph [113 kmph] for 7-iron) - 6-iron or 7-iron: you have a medium swing speed (between 71 mph [114 kmph] and 82 mph [132 kmph] for 7-iron) - 8-iron and 9-iron: you have a high swing speed (> 82 mph [132 kmph] for 7-iron)

Where can I find the 900 set?

Test clubs are available in Decathlon stores with a golf simulator. To find your nearest store that offers the test, contact your Decathlon golf department. It is not possible to test the set on our website.
