The 100 Ski Boot is for beginner or recreational skiers looking for ease of use. The rear entry construction makes it easy to put on and take off, and the single buckle means it’s easy to adjust. It is very flexible for maximum forgiveness when learning to ski. Walking is easy with the rear section that unlocks for considerable ankle extension. Generous volume for guaranteed comfort.

Experience

Its unique buckle allows you to tighten it in a few seconds compared to a classic boot, which has 4 hooks and a hook-and-loop strap.
To tighten, simply pump the buckle up to the desired pressure.
To walk, simply release a few notches to provide additional ankle movement.
To loosen, simply release the ratchet completely to provide a very large opening so you can easily remove your foot without bending down.

Buckle adjustment

The rear entry construction lets the shell open very wide to put on or remove the boot. No need to bend, force, or pull on the tongue for your foot to fit inside. It is just as easy to put on in cold weather, whereas conventional boots are much more difficult to put on in sub-zero temperatures.

Put it on and take it off

Brands assign a flex rating to every boot. This rating indicates the rigidity of the boot: the higher the value, the stiffer the shell. A flex of 60 to 70 is considered best for beginner skiers. A flex from 60 to 90 is for intermediate skiers. A rating above 100 is aimed at advanced skiers. Heavier skiers, however, can go up a level.

What is flex?

With the foot in the boot, fasten the hooks to the midpoint. Can you go further? This means the volume of the boot isn’t right for you. Once your boots are closed, flex three times. Stand upright: Your toes should touch the tip of the liner. When your ankles are flexed, your feet should move backward, away from the toe of the boot. Take into account that the liner foam will be compressed after a few days of skiing.

How do you know if the boot is the right size?

1- Choose a technical ski sock that’s thin to prevent pressure points and promote blood circulation in the foot.
2- Choose a sole adapted to the shape of your foot to prevent it from being squashed and pressing against the shell. Ask an in-store salesperson for advice.


What should you do if you experience foot pain?

1- Air out your boots by removing the liner from the plastic shell.
2- Fasten the buckles at the first notch to prevent the boots from becoming deformed and, if possible, store them in a boot bag. 
3- If possible, store them in a dry place above 10°C. The boot’s plastic will thank you for it!
