Choosing the right size
Size is based on ability and weight rather than height. For the 500 Cross-Country Skis with skins: - 55 kg to 65 kg (121 lb to 143 lb = 181 cm - 60 kg to 70 kg (132 lb to 154 lb) = 188 cm - 65 kg to 75 kg (143 lb to 165 lb) = 195 cm - 75 kg to 90 kg (165 lb to 198 lb) = 202 cm - 85 kg to 100 kg (187 lb to 220 lb) = 207 cm If you’re between two sizes: - For increased comfort, choose the smaller size to ensure manoeuvrability. - For more intensive use, choose the larger size.
Skin grip: simplicity itself!
Grip refers to the area located in the centre of the base, on the underside of the ski. It helps you avoid slipping while providing smooth glide performance. There are 3 grip systems: fish scales, grip wax, or skins. The 500 Cross-Country Ski has a mixed skin grip. Skins offer the same quality grip as a fish scale base, but they do not make any noise and do not require waxing.
Performance bindings: the key to an optimized experience
All our skis are sold with Rottefella bindings that are compatible with the NNN, Prolink, and Turnamic standard boots. The 500 Cross-Country Skis with skins are equipped with classic Rottefella Performance bindings, which are more suited to intermediate skiers. The binding can be adjusted to your preferred position using the key provided. For more grip, move the binding forward; for better glide performance, move the binding backward. It features a user-friendly locking mechanism.
A sintered base for superior glide performance
The base is the part of the ski in contact with the snow. It is made of polyethylene (HDPE), which can be extruded or sintered during the manufacturing process. The sintered base of the 500 Classic Cross-Country Skis is made from high molecular weight plastic powder that is heated, compressed, and cut into slabs. This process produces a denser base and delivers superior glide and durability.
Waxing: the secret to sustainability!
We recommend waxing the underside of new skis for optimal glide. Several consecutive waxes are best to build up a proper base. To keep skis in top performing condition, remember to wax them often! Check out tutorials on how to wax your skis on our Inovik YouTube channel.

Easy to attah boots. Traction was good and i used them straight off the rack! I will take them back to get sharpened and waxed and no doubt they will only get better!

Ski de très mauvaise qualité, 2 paires achetés mi janvier, à peine 1 mois et demi après, sur les deux paires les semelles se décollent du ski, utilisation normale 2-3x par semaines.
