Main Material

A product’s ability to protect against the cold depends on its thermal resistance and breathability. The higher the thermal resistance, the more body heat it retains while you ride.
During intense rides, perspiration on your hands can make them feel cold. We therefore recommend exercising at a moderate intensity in cold weather.

Product warmth

Waterproofness is a fabric’s ability to prevent rainwater from soaking through. 
Water repellency refers to a fabric’s ability to make water bead off its surface without being absorbed. The fabric soaks up little or no moisture, dries more quickly, and remains light. Water repellency also helps keep the outer surface cleaner.
Water repellency is obtained by applying a treatment to the fabric's external surface.

This helmet is personal protective equipment (PPE). The protection it provides depends on its condition.
We can accept only helmets returned in new condition. If your helmet doesn’t suit you, please return it with the user guide and tags. 

Return Conditions (specific to PPE) 

The Mips® Air Node system is designed to protect against rotational impacts. In the event of an impact, especially an angled impact, your head may rotate suddenly and violently, which is a common cause of concussions.

Mips® Air Node is an integrated, discreet layer that lets the helmet move slightly relative to your head. The system stays fixed during normal use, releasing on impact to dissipate rotational energy and reduce the risk of injury.

Because safety comes first, this helmet meets the highest impact standards and 
complies with European regulation EN 1078.

Ventilation and Aerodynamics 

Helmets don’t last forever. For maximum safety, we recommend replacing your helmet at least every 5 to 7 years. Be sure to store your helmet in its case, in a dry, cool place away from sunlight.
Extreme temperatures deteriorate the helmet’s foam more quickly.

Always replace your helmet after a major impact, as damage you can’t see may affect its protective ability.

These cuffs are made of a layer of coated, windproof, waterproof fabric, a soft and comfortable layer to keep your hands warm, and a stiff inner layer to hold the cuffs in place as you ride.

Warmth and comfort

Everyone responds differently to the cold, and some people are more sensitive than others.
There are several factors that help explain the differences in feeling:

The cuffs can be used with or without gloves.

Cold sensitivity

- Water-repellent treatment
A fluorine-free chemical wash on the fabric's surface makes water slide right off. This treatment can be reactivated by heat (10 minutes in the tumble drier on a gentle cycle).
- Waterproof construction
A waterproof strip under the seams prevents water getting in.
- Waterproof fabric
A fabric's capacity to prevent water from penetrating it.

Waterproofing

Waterproofing is measured in Schmerbers or mmH2O (the pressure exerted by a water column).
A material with a rating of 10,000 mmH2O (400") can resist 10 m (10 yd) of water.
The bigger the number, the more waterproof the fabric.

Our cuffs are tested using a thermal hand in a lab with temperatures from 5°C to -20°C and winds from 10 km/h to 25 km/h (6mi/h to 15 mi/h).
The City Bike Cuffs 940 are rated 5 out of 5 for warmth.

To ensure greater comfort in the saddle, we created this medium density chamois pad.
The fabric is soft and breathable. The padded zone is soft, with a density of 100 kg/m³ and a thickness of 13 mm. Perforated fabric actively wicks away perspiration. The pad keeps you comfortable on rides of up to 2 hours.

The shape of the padded zones was defined by tests on a sheet of pressure, designed from a dummy moulding and approved after various trials and usage tests. These tests, conducted on real cyclists, involved measuring the pressure points on the saddle. The padded zone covers contact points where pressure is greater. There is a dart at the front for a better fit.

The ischium bone and the perineum are covered and protected. The reinforced area between the legs is relatively narrow to prevent irritation from rubbing while pedalling. Channels have been embossed into the reinforcements to provide greater flexibility.
