What is the temperature rating?
Comfort temperatures are posted on all our sleeping bags, which are tested by an independent laboratory (AITEX) for compliance with European standards. The comfort temperature is the lower limit at which the user is in general thermal equilibrium, feeling neither too cold nor too hot (for an average person in normal conditions of use). Use this rating to choose the sleeping bag that’s right for you.
What is the temperature rating (lower limit at which you feel comfortable)?
The comfort temperature is the lower limit at which the user is in general thermal equilibrium, neither too cold nor too hot (for an average person in normal conditions of use).We recommend using an insulation mattress to optimize your thermal comfort.
An important clarification concerning the ISO 23537-1 standard
In the context of this standard, the measurement protocol of a sleeping bag’s thermal protection uses a mattress with thermal resistance equal to an R-value of 4.8. This means that when using a less insulating mattress, the thermal performance of your sleeping bag will be lower. Use an insulating mattress to optimize your thermal comfort.
Some advice to consider before you get into your bag
Dress simply (1 layer of clothing is enough). Warm up your extremities: hats, gloves, socks, hand/foot warmers, etc. A container of hot water can be used as a hot water bottle (as long as there’s no chance of it accidentally opening!). Contract your muscles (70% of the energy consumed is converted into heat) but do it without moving as this could create a draft. Use a bag liner to optimize warmth and avoid washing your sleeping bag too frequently.
Style
The body shape optimizes thermal insulation and saves space, which means that your movements are restricted. Width at the shoulders: 72 cm (28.3”). Height at the feet: 26 cm (13.3”) (Size L).
Weight and dimensions
Size S: 750 g (1.65 lb.), user up to 1.60 m (5’2”) tall. Dimensions: 15 cm x 34 cm (5.9” x 13.3”). Volume 6.1 L (1.4 gal). 380 g (13 oz.) of down/feathers. Size M: 850 g (1.87 lb.), user from 1.60 m to 1.70 m (5’2” to 5’6”) tall. Dimensions: 16 cm x 34 cm (6.2” x 13.3”). Volume 6.9 L (1.5 gal). 440 g (15.5 oz.) of down/feathers. Size L: 950 g (2.09 lb.), user between 1.7 m and 1.85 m (5’6” and 6”). Dimensions: 17 cm x 34 cm (6.7” x 13.3”). Volume 7.8 L (1.7 gal). 500 g (17 oz.) of down/feathers. Size XL: 1,050 g (2.31 lb.), user from 1.85 m to 2 m (5’6” and 6”) tall. Dimensions: 18 cm x 34 cm (7” x 13.3”). Volume 8.7 L (2 gal). 560 g (20 oz.) of down/feathers.
Features
Anatomical hood with good coverage and drawstring adjustment. A baffle along the zipper prevents heat loss. Double-slider zippers for optimal ventilation. Brick baffle construction reduces thermal bridges.
The advantages of duck down and feather filling
The fill power of down has three advantages for mountain sports: - The air trapped in the down and feathers provides thermal insulation - Ultra-low weight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack - Ultra-compressible
Measuring the fill power of down and feather filling
Fill power is a measure of the down’s thermal insulation capacity and potential to trap air. It is expressed in cuin (cubic inches). Down with higher fill power will take up more space, trap more air, and provide greater thermal insulation. This sleeping bag has a 90% down/10% feather filling for a guaranteed fill power of 800 cuin or more (European standard).
How to maintain a down sleeping bag
Even if you regularly use a bag liner, you will need to wash your down bag from time to time. How to care for your down jacket: In short: 1/ Machine wash at 30°C. Use a gentle spin cycle. Use special detergent for washing down (ref: 8609821) 2/ Tumble dry with 2 or 3 tennis balls and repeat 2 or 3 times until it is completely dry.
How to repair your sleeping bag
On a trek, you can snag a sleeping bag. It happens! The good news is that it can be repaired to prevent the tear from getting bigger. To do this, we recommend that you use self-adhesive repair patches (ref: 8584596) or ask one of our technicians to do this for you in the workshop of your Decathlon store.
Warranty
This sleeping bag is guaranteed for 5 years from the date of sale indicated on the receipt. The product covered by the guarantee will be repaired or exchanged free of charge. The warranty covers product defects excluding any resulting from normal wear and tear or irregular use. The product and sales receipt is required for this special 5-year warranty to be valid.

The bag seems to be well made with good quality material. I still have to try it when I go camping in the fall. But I have one big issue with the compression sac, why is it so dam small, it’s a real struggle to squeeze the bag in, rolled or stuffed. You could have made it 2-3
inches wider for easy stuffing . I will definitely have to buy a replacement compression sac from Sea to Summit to make my life easier. I would recommend the sleeping bag but I am disappointed with the poor thought put into designing of the compression sac.

Sophie

I used this bag at -5 and it kept me warm when wearing base layers. It packs down very small and is significantly cheaper than similar down sleeping bags. If the down was hydrophobic it would be perfect.
